      Advice: Garcia drew a second consecutive start at the keystone and stole two bases in the first inning after leading off with a walk. The 24-year-old has struggled mightily in June as he entered the contest slashing .145/.211/.169 with no homers and four steals across 90 plate appearances. The Kansas City infield became more crowded with CJ Alexander debuting and Michael Massey (back) returning from the injured list Monday, so Garcia will have to start producing at the plate and on the basepaths to maintain a starting role.       Advice: As expected, Bichette is ready to go after missing the minimum amount of time while dealing with his calf strain. He’ll go back to his role as the everyday shortstop, and has been bumped up to the leadoff spot for Tuesday’s showdown against the sizzling-hot Red Sox at Fenway Park.       Advice: It’s the first time Garcia has played anywhere other third this year, but the Royals just called up a third baseman in CJ Alexander and have Michael Massey apparently limited to DH at the moment. As a result, Garcia will get to show his versatility. The return to the leadoff spot is also good news; he had led off throughout the season before being dropped to seventh on Saturday and eighth on Sunday. Considering that he has a .291 OBP, there’s no blaming the Royals for making the switch.       Advice: Garcia had made each of his first 74 starts of the season as the Royals' leadoff hitter, but he was dropped down to seventh and eighth in the batting order over the final two games of the weekend in Texas. His slide down the lineup comes while he's mustered a .152/.221/.177 slash line over 20 games thus far in June. The Royals haven't yet settled on a replacement for Garcia atop the lineup, as both Adam Frazier (thumb) and Nick Loftin received turns in the leadoff spot to close out the weekend.       Bogaerts (shoulder) resumed running the bases, taking light grounders and doing one-handed drills in the batting cage this past week, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Bogaerts broke his left shoulder while making a diving stop in the infield May 20 and remains on the 10-day IL. The veteran infielder isn't likely to return until July at the earliest, given that he has yet to take regular swings. When he does come back from the IL, Bogaerts indicated that he will adjust his swing to use a two-handed follow-through in order to protect his injured shoulder.
