    • Keeps running Sunday
Chisholm went 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: It's the third steal in the last four games for Chisholm, who's up to 17 stolen bases on the season -- his career high is 23, set back in 2021. The 26-year-old is finding ways to contribute, but he hasn't homered in 21 straight games, a stretch in which Chisholm is slashing .260/.345/.301 with just two extra-base hits, a double and a triple. • Rosenthal: Rangers could trade Scherzer, others
According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Rangers could look to trade away players on expiring contracts at the deadline.

Advice: The Rangers have been playing better of late, but they are 7 1/2 games back in the race for the third American League wild card with playoff odds hovering around 10 percent, so Rosenthal believes the team will be open to trading players on expiring contracts like Max Scherzer, Michael Lorenzen, Andrew Heaney, David Robertson, and Kirby Yates. With Tyler Mahle and Jacob deGrom also inching closer to second-half returns, the Rangers could deal from their starting rotation and not lose much. Rosenthal also suggests that the Rangers could listen on deals for Nathaniel Lowe, Leody Taveras, and “perhaps even Adolis García, all of whom are performing below expectations and under club control at rising salaries for two more seasons.” Trades would drastically impact the fantasy value of most of these players, which makes the Rangers perhaps the most interesting team at the trade deadline. • Report: “Growing belief” Marlins will trade Jazz
According to the Miami Herald’s Craig Mish, “there is a growing belief [Jazz] Chisholm Jr. will be traded.”

Advice: Chisholm is in the midst of his healthiest season yet, playing 87 games so far while hitting .255/.326/.407 with 10 home runs and 17 steals. According to Mish, “This is the first time there has been genuine interest in Chisholm as injuries, and his personality have kept other clubs wondering what they would be getting in return.” The Marlins now seem primed to take advantage of that spark of interest by dealing the oft-injured 26-year-old for potential future pieces. While Chisholm does have some risk, his power/speed should net the Marlins a decent return and could be an impactful piece for a contender at the deadline. Rotoworld Today, 8:15 am

    • Fans 10 in no-decision
Berrios didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Berrios had issues keeping the ball in the park Sunday, with a Victor Robles solo homer and a three-run home run by Mitch Garver accounting for the Mariners four runs on the day. Berrios' struggles with the long ball aren't particularly new, as the 30-year-old has surrendered a round tripper in seven consecutive starts and has yielded multiple homers five times this season. However, there was a silver lining for Sunday's start, with Berrios setting a season high in strikeouts. He's on track to face the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:50 am
    • Picks up seventh steal
Burleson went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson has picked up multiple hits in three of his last six games. He's also stolen two bases in his last three games and five over his last 15. The 25-year-old's impressive first half has been a key factor in the Cardinals turnaround as he's settled into the second spot in the lineup. Burleson is hitting .281/.318/.455 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 82 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

    • Jose Berrios punches out 10 in no-decision
Jose Berrios piled up 10 strikeouts over six innings of four-run baseball in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.

Advice: Overall, Berrios scattered seven hits on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Victor Robles launching a solo homer in the third inning and Mitch Garver crushing a three-run shot in the fifth. Berrios got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now holds a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 87/29 K/BB ratio over 115 innings through his first 19 starts on the season. He’ll toe the slab against the Diamondbacks his next time out in Arizona on Saturday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Pre-break return possible
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Sunday that Assad (forearm) could be activated from the injured list prior to the All-Star break, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Heraldreports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the shelf in late June with a strained forearm, but he wasn't shut down from throwing for long and had a bullpen session Friday. The Cubs have a doubleheader Saturday in St. Louis, and that would be a logicial point for him to be re-insterted into the rotation ahead of the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:06 pm

    • Red-hot Miranda out of lineup Sunday vs. Houston
Jose Miranda is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda’s reward for reaching in 12 straight at-bats is a rest Sunday for the series finale against the Astros. The 26-year-old will begin the game on the bench with Matt Wallner getting the start after being recalled from St. Paul. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:19 am

    • Resting after historic streak ends
Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda will get a breather for the series finale after he recorded a pair of base hits and was hit by a pitch before flying out in his final at-bat of Saturday's 9-3 win. The flyout ended a streak of 13 consecutive plate appearances in which he got on base and 12 consecutive at-bats with a hit, the latter of which tied an MLB record. Miranda still has a 10-game active hitting streak, which he'll presumably put on hold Sunday before he likely returns to the lineup for Monday's series opener against the White Sox.
