    • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:05 pm
    • Nails down 15th save
Holmes picked up the save over the Padres on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Holmes made it look easy Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth on a total of just seven pitches to record his 15th save of the season. The right-handed reliever has now converted his last two save opportunities after surrendering four runs to the Mariners on May 20, striking out at least one batter in each of those appearances. Holmes sits just one save behind Emmanuel Clase (16) for the American League lead after Saturday's outing. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:40 am

    • Blows another save Saturday
Diaz gave up a run on two hits and struck out one in the ninth inning Saturday, blowing his fourth save of the season in a 7-2 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Advice: After the right-hander tossed a scoreless inning and recorded a hold Friday, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza gave Diaz another shot at closing with the team clinging to a 2-1 lead. He couldn't get the job done, giving up two singles with a stolen base in between to tie the game before Sean Reid-Foley and Josh Walker combined for a disastrous 10th inning. Diaz has blown three straight save chances and four of five since May 5, stumbling to an 11.05 ERA in 7.1 innings over that stretch despite an 11:3 K:BB. Diaz last had struggles like this in 2019 and was eventually able to find his form again, but the Mets will be hard-pressed to use him in high-leverage spots until he shows some consistency. • Holmes picks up 15th save on Saturday
Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Holmes pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning and struck out one on his way to his 15th save of the season, which is second among closers in all of baseball. He blew a save earlier this week, but has since bounced back with a four-out save and a clean ninth inning save. Holmes figures to continue racking up saves the way the Yankees’ season is going. • Edwin Díaz charged with fourth blown save Saturday
Edwin Díaz allowed one run with one strikeout in the ninth inning to blow the save chance against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: After Díaz had struck out two batters in a scoreless inning on Friday, he got the save chance on Saturday against the Giants. Asked to close it out with a one-run lead, he surrendered two hits to tie the game, blowing the save chance. The 30-year-old right-hander is having a rough season after missing the 2023 campaign, posting a 5.40 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over 20 frames. Given his track record and overall struggles in the Mets bullpen, he should continue to get a chance to work through his issues in the late innings. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:56 pm

    • Edwin Díaz (sort of) gets vote of confidence
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Saturday that Edwin Díaz is “one of the options” (to close) moving forward.

Advice: He’s our closer,” Mendoza added. “Even if he’s going through it right now.” He also elaborated that they’ll “piece it together” moving forward in the ninth inning. It’s a bit of a confusing message and isn’t exactly the vote of confidence fantasy managers are hoping to hear. It certainly sounds like Díaz will get some save opportunities in the near future, but Reed Garrett, Adam Ottavino and Jorge López might also still be in the mix. What a mess. • Picks up ninth save
Doval gave up a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in the ninth inning Friday to record his ninth save of the season in an 8-7 win over the Mets.

Advice: The Giants scored six of their runs in the eighth and ninth innings to create the save chance, but Doval very nearly squandered it following a leadoff double by pinch hitter DJ Stewart and a fielding error by Marco Luciano. It was the first earned run the right-hander has allowed since May 8 at Coors Field, and on the season Doval carries a 3.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 27:15 K:BB through 20.2 innings while converting nine of 10 save opportunities. • Camilo Doval hangs on for ninth save
Camilo Doval worked around two hits and an error to earn the save on Friday over the Mets. He struck out one.

Advice: This was a treacherous ninth inning for Doval. The Mets rallied on him and then Marco Luciano butchered a tailor-made double play that would’ve ended the game. Then he intentionally walked Brandon Nimmo before punching out J.D. Martinez with a runner on third and one out. Then Matt Chapman made a herculean bare-handed play to end the game. He remains a super steady closing option despite this near collapse. Rotoworld Friday, 7:28 pm

    • Edwin Díaz works scoreless seventh inning
Edwin Díaz pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Friday against the Giants. He allowed one hit, struck out one batter, and earned a hold.

Advice: The Mets’ closer role is fully in flux with Díaz’s struggles and Reed Garrett allowing a go-ahead grand slam to Patrick Bailey on Friday. It was nice to see Díaz pitch a reasonably clean inning, but Jorge Soler put one to the warning track and his command was still shaky. Keep an eye on his usage, especially if the Mets ever do win a game. Rotoworld Friday, 7:27 pm
