    • Resting Saturday
Soler isn't in the Giants' lineup Saturday versus the Mets.

Advice: After going 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's victory, Soler will now get his first day off since returning from the injured list May 17. His absence will move Patrick Bailey into the DH spot, allowing Curt Casali to pick up a start behind the plate while batting eighth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:40 am

    • Doubles twice in loss
Betts went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a walk in Friday's loss to the Reds.

Advice: Betts led the game off with a single, knocked an RBI double in the second inning and added another double in the fourth. He entered Friday in a small slump, going 4-for-22 (.182) over his previous six contests. Despite the skid, he's hitting .291 through 20 games this month. Betts is slashing .338/.438/.554 with 25 extra-base hits through 240 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:01 pm

    • Nick Castellanos homers as Phillies top Rangers
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 5-2 win for the Phillies on Thursday over the Rangers.

Advice: Castellanos extended the Phillies’ lead to 5-2 with a solo blast in the seventh inning. The veteran outfielder has been able to provide five homers thus far in 2024, and the pair of hits see his average increase to a still-disappointing .206 mark. Castellanos is a good bet to be (much) better over the final two-thirds of the 2024 campaign. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:20 pm

    • Lands on IL with strained wrist
The Athletics placed Ruiz on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left wrist, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It's not clear when or how Ruiz suffered the injury, but he'll be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. Ruiz had made just two starts over Oakland's last 13 games and is only 2-for-19 with 10 strikeouts at the plate in May. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:45 am

    • A’s place Esteury Ruiz on IL
Athletics placed OF Esteury Ruiz on the 10-day injured list with a strained left wrist.

Advice: There was a lot of celebrating in fantasy baseball circles when Ruiz performed well at Triple-A Las Vegas and hit two home runs in his first games after being recalled in April. However, the 25-year-old is hitting just .200/.270/.382 in 29 games this season with two home runs, five steals, and a 31 percent strikeout rate. He has been battling wrist issues throughout the season but also figures to profile as more of a fourth outfielder due to his low batting average and poor outfield defense. Daz Cameron was called up to take his place on the active roster. Rotoworld Thursday, 9:42 am

    • Drives in three
Soler went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored during Wednesday's 9-5 extra-inning win over the Pirates.

Advice: Soler notched his first three-RBI game of the campaign Wednesday, getting the Giants on the scoreboard with an RBI single in the fifth, plating LaMonte Wade Jr. on a weak groundout to bring the team to within one in the eighth inning and putting San Francisco up 7-5 in the 10th with an RBI single. In five games since returning from a shoulder injury, Soler is 6-for-22 (.273) with four runs scored and five RBI. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:34 pm

    • Jorge Soler drives in three runs as Giants win
Jorge Soler went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs on Wednesday night, propelling the Giants to a 9-5 come-from-behind victory over the Pirates in extra innings.

Advice: Soler got the Giants on the board in the fifth inning with a run-scoring single off of Jared Jones, trimming their deficit to four runs at 5-1. He also plated a run with a ground ball in the eighth inning that made it 5-4. The 32-year-old slugger also added an RBI single in the 10th — extending the Giants’ lead to 7-5. He scored later in the frame on a single by Luis Matos. With his two-hit night, he’s now slashing .213/.304/.362 with five homers and 12 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:06 pm

    • Jorge Soler gets dropped to sixth in Giants lineup
After leading off the last four games, Jorge Soler has been dropped to sixth in the Giants lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Luis Matos, who hit third last night, is in the leadoff spot tonight. Soler is 4-for-18 with a couple of walks since returning from the injured list last week. He’s at .204/.295/.358 overall in 38 games this season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:50 pm
