      Advice: The Astros don’t seem to think Javier’s problem is significant, but we’ll see. He’ll definitely miss two starts now. The Astros could bring up Eric Lauer to step in if they want to stick with a six-man rotation, but that’s not the immediate plan; they’re going with Hunter Brown, Justin Verlander and Spencer Arrighetti from Tuesday through Thursday. With Javier on the IL, Hunter Brown will start Tuesday against the Mariners, while Justin Verlander and Spencer Arrighetti take the mound Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle. He’s rapidly cementing his status as an upper-echelon fantasy contributor, having allowed three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 11 starts at the outset of the season. The second baseman is up to eight steals on 11 attempts this season, with Sunday's steal being his first since May 17.       Advice: Acuña Jr. was diagnosed with a torn ACL last night and will be out for the season. It’s a brutal blow for the Braves and Acuña Jr., who has now torn the ACL in both of his knees. The Braves called up J.P. Martinez to take Acuña Jr.'s spot in on the active roster, but Adam Duvall will likely see an uptick in playing time until the Braves maybe make a move for an outfielder.       Atlanta placed Acuna (knee) on the 10-day injured list Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Acuna suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Sunday's 8-1 win in Pittsburgh and will undergo season-ending surgery in the coming days. He missed the second half of the 2021 season due to a torn ACL in his other knee and is now slated for another lengthy absence. Jarred Kelenic and Adam Duvall will likely be in line for additional at-bats in the corner outfield with Acuna out, though Atlanta could seek help from outside the organization.
