      Advice: Chisholm drove in the Marlins first run with a two-out triple off Sonny Gray in the sixth. The Cardinals couldn't retire Chisholm in any of his five at-bats, and he drew three walks in a game for just the second time in his career.       Pivetta (4-4) allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk over seven innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over Toronto.

      Advice: Pivetta gave up one run through five frames before allowing solo homers to Justin Turner and Davis Schneider in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively. Pivetta is 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA in three starts this month after posting a disappointing 5.55 ERA in May. For the season, he owns a 3.88 ERA alongside a 59:14 K:BB through 10 starts.       Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-2 with an RBI on Monday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

      Advice: Chisholm walked three times in the extra-inning marathon, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances, but it wasn’t enough as Miami lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games since June 7.       Nick Pivetta allowed three runs in seven innings and got the win in the Red Sox’ 7-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday.



      Advice: Pivetta gave up nine hits, walked one and struck out four. It was his fourth win in 10 starts this season and he’s now won two of his last three starts. Pivetta allowed a sacrifice fly to Isiah Kiner-Falefa and solo home runs to Justin Turner and Davis Schneider, but that was it for the Toronto offense. His ERA is now 3.88 on the season.     • MRI returns clean
      Carroll will rejoin the Diamondbacks in Washington for the start of their series against the Nationals on Tuesday after he underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed no significant damage to his left side, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

      Advice: The Diamondbacks ordered up the MRI for Carroll after he experienced a "pull feeling" while making a throw in the seventh inning of Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox. He left the game shortly thereafter, though he was in positive spirits when describing his injury after the game. The MRI seems to have validated Carroll's optimism, and though he looks set to avoid a stint on the injured list and will rejoin the team, the Diamondbacks could still hold him out of the lineup for Tuesday's series opener if he's still dealing with some discomfort. Fantasy managers in leagues with weekly lineup decisions will likely want to keep close tabs on Carroll's status leading up to the 6:45 p.m. ET start time of Tuesday's contest.     • Corbin Carroll’s MRI comes back clean
      According to Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro, Corbin Carroll’s MRI came back clean and he could start on Tuesday against the Nationals.



      Advice: Carroll had an MRI on Monday morning that “did not reveal significant damage to his left side.” The 23-year-old left Sunday’s game following a “pulling feeling” the 23-year-old felt while making a throw in the seventh inning. He is now headed to Washington to be with his teammates and “it is possible he will be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday night.” Diamondbacks fans and fantasy managers can let out a sigh of relief.
