    • Hitting bench against southpaw
Conforto is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Conforto will hit the bench for the second time in the series as the Cubs send southpaw Shota Imanaga to the hill. The Giants will go with the right-handed-hitting Austin Slater in left field in place of Conforto, who had plated at least one run in four of his last five games. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago
    • Launches ninth homer
Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

Advice: Conforto launched a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the second to put the Giants up 2-1 and was directly followed by another solo shot off the bat of David Villar. The outfielder has now posted at least one RBI in three consecutive games and in four of his last five overall. However, Conforto still has just one multi-hit effort this month, where he's now batting .125 with two homers, nine RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am
    • Lone bright spot in loss
Judge went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Though the Yankees suffered through an ugly loss to their crosstown rival, Judge kept chugging along, smashing a 400-foot, two-run homer in the sixth inning for his team's only runs. The long ball was the slugger's 10th through 21 games in a monstrous June during which he's also produced 32 RBI. Judge is the league leader with 30 home runs on the campaign, and he's just the third player in MLB history to reach 30 homers before the All-Star break three times in his career, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. • Michael Conforto blasts two-run homer in win
Michael Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: With a runner on base in the second inning, Conforto took Hayden Wesneski deep to right center field for a two-run shot to put the Giants on the board. It was Conforto’s ninth homer of the season and only his second in June. The 31-year-old outfielder is slashing .232/.286/.415 with 23 runs scored and 29 RBI across 224 plate appearances. • Dominant in seventh victory
Cease (7-6) earned the win over Washington on Wednesday, pitching seven scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and issued two walks while striking out nine batters.

Advice: The only hit Cease surrendered during his seven frames was a two-out single by Nick Senzel in the fifth inning. Remarkably, this was the San Diego right-hander's third outing this season during which he gave up exactly one hit in seven frames, and he unsurprisingly has picked up a victory in all three of those starts. Cease had been struggling coming into Wednesday, giving up 11 runs over his previous two starts covering 8.1 innings during his worst two-game stretch of the campaign. He's had a few clunkers among his 17 appearances this season but has solid numbers overall with a 3.84 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 125:30 K:BB across 98.1 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm

    • Aaron Judge crushes 30th home run
Aaron Judge went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and walk on Wednesday against the Mets.

Advice: Judge’s league-leading 30th long ball was the extent of the Yankees’ offense in this one. While the team is scuffling, Judge certainly hasn’t with nine home runs and 22 RBI in his last 15 games. Silly numbers from the most productive player in baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:49 pm

    • Quality start in no-decision
Singer came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Marlins, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander delivered his sixth quality start of the season on 92 pitches (63 strikes) and completed seven innings for the first time since his first outing of the year, March 31 against the Twins. Despite the impressive performance, Singer left the mound in line for his fifth loss before the Royals' offense woke up in the bottom of the eighth inning. He'll take a 3.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB through 89.1 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home early next week against the Rays. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:58 pm

    • Manny Machado has two hits in victory over Nats
Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored as the Padres bested the Nationals on Wednesday afternoon in San Diego.

Advice: Machado led off the eighth inning with a single off of Tanner Rainey, then rode home on Kyle Higashioka’s grand slam. With his two-hit attack on Wednesday, the 31-year-old superstar third baseman is now hitting .264/.316/.390 on the season to go along with eight homers, 40 RBI and five stolen bases. • Dylan Cease fans nine in dominant win over Nats
Dylan Cease delivered an impressive performance in Wednesday’s victory over the Nationals, racking up nine strikeouts over seven innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander allowed just one hit — a two-out single by Nick Senzel in the fifth inning — while issuing a pair of walks in the contest. Cease generated 16 swings and misses in the ballgame — nine of those on his slider — while registering a strong CSW of 33 percent. He now sits at 7-6 on the season with a 3.84 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 125/30 K/BB ratio over 98 1/3 innings through his first 17 starts on the season. He’ll try to replicate this brilliant outing when he squares off against the Rangers in Arlington on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm
