    • Idle against O's
Lowe isn't part of the starting nine for Friday's game against Baltimore, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe has generated a hit in four straight games but will take a seat with lefty Cole Irvin on the mound for the Orioles. Jose Caballero will play second base and Taylor Walls will play shortstop. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:15 pm

    • Brandon Lowe scores twice in win over Marlins
Brandon Lowe went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored on Wednesday as the Rays triumphed over the Marlins.

Advice: Lowe smacked a one-out single into right in the first inning then came around to score on an RBI double by Isaac Paredes. He also delivered an RBI single in the third inning then raced around on a run-scoring double off the bat of Paredes. With his two-hit attack, the 29-year-old second baseman is now hitting .221/.329/.412 with two homers and 14 RBI through his first 22 games on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:04 pm

    • Drives in five vs. Marlins
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, a two-run double and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over Miami.

Advice: It was a big night for Lowe in his first start this year against a left-hander -- the second baseman tied the game 3-3 with a three-run homer off Jesus Luzardo in the fourth inning before adding two more RBI with a double in the fifth. The home run was the second of the season for Lowe and his first since March 29 after spending over a month on the IL with an oblique injury. He's now slashing .203/.320/.406 with 13 RBI and eight runs scored across 75 plate appearances on the campaign. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:26 pm

    • Brandon Lowe homers off a lefty in win
Brandon Lowe went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in a win over the Marlins on Tuesday.

Advice: Despite the Marlins starting left-hander Jesus Luzardo, the Rays decided to keep Brandon Lowe in the lineup. The 29-year-old rewarded them with a 377-foot blast that left the bat at 108.7 mph for a three-run home run. He later added a two-run double, also off Luzardo, which was hit 107 mph. Lowe has frequently been on the bench against lefties, so the fact that Tampa Bay even chose to start him against Luzardo is one thing, but the fact that it went as well as it did is another. We wouldn’t overreact to one start, but if Lowe is going to play against lefties, that would give him more fantasy value than we had anticipated. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:13 pm

    • Logs two steals in loss
Stott went 1-for-4 with two RBI, two stolen bases and one walk in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Stott has had trouble getting on base lately -- he's 5-for-44 (.114) with two walks over his last 12 games -- but he's managed to steal four bases in that span. He played a more noticeable role Sunday with a two-run single to tie the game at 4-4 in the fifth inning. Those RBI were his first since May 21. The infielder is slashing .239/.340/.372 with 16 steals, five home runs, 32 RBI and 31 runs scored over 55 contests this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:37 pm

    • Bryson Stott swipes two bases in loss to Cards
Bryson Stott drove in a pair of runs and swiped two bases as the Phillies fell to the Cardinals in 10 innings on Sunday night.

Advice: Stott drew a walk off of Lance Lynn in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Phillies were unable to cash him in. He then tied the game up and chased Lynn with a two-run single in the fifth inning. Stott then deftly nabbed second base again, but the Phillies once again couldn’t score him. The 26-year-old infielder is now hitting .239/.340/.372 with five long balls, 32 RBI and 16 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:16 pm

    • Jose Altuve gets Sunday off against Twins
Jose Altuve is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: Altuve will get a rare day off for the series finale against the Twins. He’ll take a seat with Mauricio Dubon hitting sixth and playing second base. Kyle Tucker is leading off as the designated hitter, with Chas McCormick getting the start in right field. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:46 am

    • Resting against southpaw
Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Jonathan Aranda, Ben Rortvedt and Richie Palacios as the Rays roll with a full right-handed-hitting lineup versus Orioles southpaw Cole Irvin. Amed Rosario will fill in for Lowe at second base. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:31 am

    • Getting afternoon off
Altuve is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Altuve is on the bench for just the second time all season and the first time since May 12 in what looks to be nothing more than a routine maintenance day. Mauricio Dubon will step in at second base for Altuve, who is currently in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:20 am
