Jason Foley closes out White Sox on Friday night
Jason Foley recorded the final four outs against the White Sox on Friday night, protecting a one-run advantage to earn his 13th save of the season.
Advice: Foley came on with the tying run on base with two outs in the eighth inning and got Andrew Vaughn to ground out to second base. He then returned for the ninth where he plunked Paul DeJong with one out in the inning to bring the go-ahead run to the plate again. Andrew Benintendi then lined out to center field and DeJong forgot how many outs there were, easily getting doubled off of first base to end the ballgame. On the season, Foley now sports a 2.67 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 22/9 K/BB ratio (26 1/3 innings) to go along with 13 saves in 15 opportunities.
