    • Xander Bogaerts swipes two bases against Braves
Xander Bogaerts collected two singles and two steals versus the Braves on Friday.

Advice: The least struggling hitters can do is steal a few bases for those rostering them in fantasy leagues. Bogaerts doubled his steal total for the season tonight, collecting two in a game for the first time since last May 5. He now has 12 two-steal games in his career, which is kind of impressive because he has just 81 career steals. He has only eight two-homer games, though he’s totaled 179 homers in his 12 seasons. • Three hits in win
Perez went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Perez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and got one base three more times in Friday's victory. The veteran catcher is batting .294 (15-for-51) with seven extra-base hits and eight RBI contests in May. That's actually down from his overall numbers -- Perez is slashing a stellar .335/.403/.557 with eight home runs, 34 RBI, 18 runs scored and 11 doubles over 176 plate appearances. He last hit above .300 for a full season in the abbreviated 2020 campaign, so there is a high risk that he cools off eventually in 2024, but he's been excellent over the first quarter of the season. • Homers, scores three runs
Nootbaar went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, two walks and three runs scored in Friday's win over Boston.

Advice: Nootbaar opened the scoring with a two-run shot in the first inning. He later drew a pair of walks and scored each time. After a 21-game homerless drought, he's gone deep three times in his last nine games. He's up to four home runs with 12 runs scored and 14 RBi through 131 plate appearances. • Nails down ninth save
Bednar picked up the save against the Cubs on Thursday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Bednar entered the game to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side and secure his ninth save of the season. The right-handed reliever has converted each of his last eight save attempts and carries a 2.57 ERA in May to go along with a 6:2 K:BB. Bednar has also recorded at least one strikeout in three straight appearances and in six of seven appearances overall this month. Rotowire.com Today, 3:48 am

    • Clubs another homer
Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Devers took righty Zack Littell yard for a solo homer in the second inning, marking the third baseman's second straight game with a long ball. All six of Devers' homers this season have come off right-handers, and he boasts a .302/.394/.593 slash line against opposite-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm

    • Notches three extra-base hits
Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a solo home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Duran provided plenty of pop from the leadoff position Thursday, swatting his second homer of 2024 and generating two doubles for a second straight game. The contest was Duran's fourth game with at least three hits this season. The center fielder finished the four-game series against Tampa Bay 6-for-15 (.400) with three runs scored and five extra-base hits. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

    • Devers goes deep again Thursday
Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with walk, two runs scored, and a solo home run against the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: Devers hit the ball into the monster seats at Fenway Park against Rays starter Zack Littel for his sixth home run of the season. It’s his second consecutive game with a home run. Devers is hitting .288 with a .902 OPS in 33 games this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:42 pm

    • Bednar with another clean inning for save
David Bednar picked up the save against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: The save was Bednar’s ninth of the season. He pitched a clean ninth inning and recorded a strikeout to preserve a one-run lead. After a shaky start to the season, Bednar now has back-to-back clean innings in save opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:20 pm

    • Gavin Williams (elbow) throws 50-pitch bullpen
Gavin Williams (elbow) threw a 50-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday.

Advice: The positive news here is that Williams didn’t experience any discomfort in his first bullpen session since receiving an anti-inflammatory injection earlier this month to address right elbow discomfort. He’s scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Friday before the club determines his next steps. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:18 pm
