    • Goes three innings in rehab start
Williams (elbow) struck out three and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over three-plus innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: The Guardians seem to be building Williams up slowly as he works his way back from right elbow discomfort, an injury that first cropped up late in spring training after the 24-year-old hurt himself in a weighted-ball workout. Though Sunday's outing marked his third rehab outing, Williams was lifted after 50 pitches. He'll presumably need at least two more rehab starts to get stretched out to around 75 pitches, at which point the Guardians might be comfortable bringing him back from the 60-day injured list and inserting him into their rotation. • Throws on flat ground, bullpen next
Gallen (hamstring) threw a flat-ground session Saturday and is expected to throw a bullpen session soon, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen was cleared for throwing June 3 and was able to complete a flat-ground session Saturday. The next box for Gallen to check in his recovery from a right hamstring strain would be a bullpen session, which should occur in the coming days. Gallen will be eligible to return from the 15-day injured list June 15, though it's unclear if he'll be ready to join the big club by then. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:18 pm

    • Zac Gallen (hamstring) throws off of flat ground
Zac Gallen (hamstring) threw off of flat ground without any issues on Saturday.

Advice: As long as he rebounds fine from that session, he’ll be cleared to throw a bullpen session. Gallen has been shelved since May 31 due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. It remains unclear if he’ll require a minor league rehab start or not before rejoining the Diamondbacks’ rotation. Rotoworld Saturday, 5:04 pm

    • Takes loss versus Royals
Castillo (5-7) took the loss to the Royals on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings.

Advice: Castillo had a tough outing as he gave up a season-high five runs in his seventh loss of the season. His offense gave him the lead two separate times Saturday, but he gave it back each time as he snapped a streak of 10 straight starts allowing two earned runs or fewer. Castillo remains one of the more consistent and durable starters in baseball; he's gone at least five innings in all of his 14 starts and will take a 3.35 ERA into his next outing. • Luis Castillo struggles in loss to Royals
Luis Castillo gave up five runs over five innings while allowing four strikeouts against the Royals on Saturday in a loss.

Advice: Castillo allowed six hits and issued a walk while striking out four. It was easily his worst start since April, as the 31-year-old had gone 10 straight starts while allowing no more than three runs, and only one of those outings saw him give up more than two. It happens. Castillo still has a healthy 3.35 ERA on the season over 14 efforts, and he gets to face the lowly White Sox next week. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:34 pm

    • First to 10 wins
Suarez (10-1) earned the win Saturday over the Mets in London, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It wasn't Suarez's most dominant outing (the eight hits allowed were a season high), though he managed to limit the damage en route to his league-leading 10th win. It's encouraging to see Suarez make a successful return to the mound after he was struck in the pitching hand by a line drive in his last start, forcing him out of the game after two innings. Overall, the 28-year-old southpaw sports a pristine 1.81 ERA with a 0.85 WHIP and 85:17 K:BB across 79.2 innings this year. Suarez is currently lined up to face the Orioles on the road in his next outing. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:17 pm
    • Ranger Suárez fans six to beat Mets in London
Ranger Suárez struck out six and two runs over 5 2/3 innings on Saturday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: Suárez took the ball for Saturday’s London Series opener across the pond and got a big assist from teammate Orion Kerkering, who came on to strike out Mets star Francisco Lindor and strand a pair of inherited runners in the process. The 28-year-old southpaw has been masterful this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts. He’ll bring a microscopic 1.81 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 85/17 K/BB ratio across 79 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road outing on Friday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:03 pm
    • Ranger Suárez starting London Series opener
Ranger Suárez (thumb) will start Saturday’s London Series opener against the Mets.

Advice: As expected, Suárez will take the ball across the pond against the division-rival Mets after making it through a couple throwing sessions this week without any issues. The 28-year-old southpaw suffered a left thumb contusion last weekend when he was hit by a comebacker. The 28-year-old southpaw has been phenomenal this season, posting a major league-leading 1.70 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 79/16 K/BB ratio across 74 innings (12 starts). Rotoworld Saturday, 7:39 am
    • Fans seven in sixth win
Lodolo (6-2) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over six innings in a 3-2 victory over the Cubs. He struck out seven.

Advice: The left-hander delivered his second straight quality start and fourth of the season on 99 pitches (61 strikes), and the only real mistake Lodolo made resulted in a Dansby Swanson solo shot in the sixth inning. The seven Ks were the most Lodolo has managed in three starts since returning from a groin strain, but he's won all three of those outings with a 2.08 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. He'll look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next week against the Guardians. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:25 am
