      Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better.       Byron Buxton went 2-for-5 with two homers and three RBI on Tuesday, powering the Twins to a 10-0 blowout victory over the Nationals.

      Advice: Buxton helped Minnesota snap a seven-game losing streak with a 10-run explosion highlighted by his 11th career multi-homer performance. The 30-year-old center fielder has undeniably gotten off to an ice-cold start at the plate this season, but he’s shown some signs of life since returning from the injured list earlier this week. He took Nationals starter Patrick Corbin deep in the second and fifth innings, respectively, to spearhead the Twins’ offensive outburst. We’re not going to draw too many conclusions from a single contest, but this certainly feels like it has the potential to be a confidence-booster for Buxton moving forward.       Advice: Rengifo has gone 4-for-18 with three steals, one RBI and two extra-base hits over four contests since he returned from an illness. The infielder is slashing .312/.364/.450 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored and 12 thefts through 32 games this season.       Luis Rengifo had two hits and two steals against the Astros on Monday.

      Advice: The second steal saw him jam his left hand into second base, leaving him with an injured middle finger in spite of the oven mitt he was wearing.       Santander (knee) is batting fifth as the designated hitter Monday against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Santander aggravated his bruised knee Saturday against the Mariners and was held out of the lineup Sunday, but he's been cleared to bat in the series opener at St. Louis. The 29-year-old said Sunday that running in the outfield has been a bit problematic, so he could continue to serve as Baltimore's DH for the next few days as he completes his recovery.       Luis Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a walk, a triple, and an RBI in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

      Advice: Rengifo returned this weekend after being on the IL with an illness and was right back to the top of the batting order, which is good news for his fantasy value. His RBI triple in the seventh inning helped to pad the lead and his walk earlier in the game set him up for a stolen base attempt.       Santander is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners due to soreness and swelling in his left knee, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

      Advice: The 29-year-old served as Baltimore's designated hitter the past two days after he suffered a bruised knee Wednesday, and he aggravated the injury while running the bases.
