David Fry hit a game-tying homer off Andrew Chafin in the ninth inning Wednesday against the Tigers.
Advice: Some curious bullpen management from the Tigers today got Fry a good matchup against a lefty in the ninth and he wound up with his second homer. This was actually a rare start against a righty for Fry, but he went 0-for-3 against them. The homer off Chafin made him 10-for-24 with four extra-base hits, 10 walks and two HBPs versus lefties this season. That’s a ridiculous .595 OBP. Unfortunately, an expanded role for Fry seems even less likely now that Kyle Manzardo is up.
