• Taking seat Tuesday
Realmuto is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It's a rare day off for Realmuto, who has reached base eight times over the last three games. Garrett Stubbs will get a start behind the plate for the Phillies. Rotowire.com 1 minute ago
  • On bench against ChiSox
Rosario is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Rosario has been utilized in a near-every-day role since Brandon Lowe (oblique) went down but will get the day off Tuesday. Richie Palacios will fill in at second base in place of Rosario. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

  • Transferred for rehab at AAA
Burdi's (hip) has been transferred to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to continue his rehab assignment.

Advice: Burdi started his rehab stint at Double-A Somerset, but he'll get the opportunity to pitch at the Triple-A level before his eventual reinstatement, which should come within the next week or so. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

  • Excels in four-inning rehab start
Marsh (elbow) struck out six and gave up one hit and one walk over four shutout innings Sunday in his rehab start with Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: According to Anne Rogers of MLB.com, Royals manager Matt Quatraro said prior to Sunday's rehab outing that Marsh was being targeted for 60-to-65 pitches, but the right-hander fell slightly short of that benchmark with 53 pitches (38 strikes). In any case, Marsh mowed down the Triple-A Iowa lineup in efficient fashion and looks as though he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible Friday against the Angels. If the Royals instead decide to give Marsh one more rehab start to increase his pitch count, Daniel Lynch would likely be in store for a second turn through the rotation this weekend. • Yankees option Taylor Trammell to Triple-A
Yankees optioned OF Taylor Trammell to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: Trammell cleared waivers without a team picking him up, so the 26-year-old will head down to the minors. The Yankees claimed Trammell off waivers from the Dodgers a few weeks ago and went 1-for-2 with a single, a walk and a run in his five appearances with New York. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

  • On bench again
Cabrera is out of the Yankees' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Cabrera will be available off the bench for a second straight game after making 22 straight starts at third base. Instead, Jon Berti will man the hot corner and bat ninth against Houston. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Takes light swings in cage
Gelof (oblique) has progressed to taking light swings in the batting cage, but he remains without a firm timetable for return, MLB.com reports.

Advice: It's been an eventful last few days on the recovery front for Gelof, who resumed some baseball activities by fielding grounders and playing catch Wednesday and then threw across the infield before the Athletics' game Friday. The progression to picking up a bat is another step in the right direction, but the team remains committed to not sending Gelof out on a rehab assignment prematurely due to the risk of aggravating the injury. • Facing hitters at extended spring
Rockies manager Bud Black said April 24 that Marquez (elbow) hasn't experienced any setbacks since he resumed facing hitters at extended spring training in Arizona, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marquez opened the season on the 60-day injured list while he continues his recovery from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent May 12, 2023. Closing in on the one-year mark in his rehab program, Marquez appears to be coming along as expected, but the Rockies haven't indicated when he'll be able to resume pitching in minor-league rehab games. The team is preparing for Marquez to return from the 60-day IL at some point around midseason. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
