    • Hinds has double, home run in MLB debut Monday
Rece Hinds went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Hinds doubled on a line drive in the fifth inning for his first major league hit and then blasted a 450-foot home run in the eighth inning for his first major league home run. Not a bad major league debut for the 23-year-old. Hinds has some serious raw power. He had a .193 ISO at Triple-A Louisville this year, but there’s also a lot of strikeouts as he had a 38 percent strikeout percentage. This could be a good hot streak for fantasy managers before major league pitchers figure out how to strike him out. If Hinds can continue to tap into his power, that’ll play in any park, let alone Great American Ballpark.

    • Canha’s RBI the difference for Tigers in 1-0 win
Mark Canha went 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI against the Guardians on Monday.

Advice: Canha’s fielder’s choice RBI in the bottom of the eighth brought in the only run of the Tigers’ 1-0 victory. He hit .278 with five home runs and 16 RBI in April, but he’s hit .194 with one home run and 18 RBI since then. He hasn’t homered since May 11th and doesn’t have an extra-base hit since June 11th. At 35-years-old it’s safe to wonder how much he has left in the tank at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:08 pm

    • Mike Trout (knee) works out on field before game
Mike Trout took soft toss and jogged outside on the field prior to Monday’s game.

Advice: “I feel great, I feel fine and I’m progressing the way I should be,” Trout said. “It’s good to get out there and start moving around instead of being in the weight room and the cage. It’s all about the progression of running. I feel good hitting. I took 30 swings out there with no pain at all.” Trout is aiming to return from knee surgery late this month. • Adds steal in win
Siani went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-0 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Siani has gone 5-for-15 with one RBI, three runs scored and three strikeouts over his last four games. A run of five straight opposing left-handed pitchers has taken a chunk out of his recent playing time, though Siani has started in three of those games while the switch hitting Dylan Carlson moved between center field and right field. For the year, Siani has a .233/.266/.312 slash line, two home runs, 10 steals, 13 RBI and 26 runs scored over 208 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:50 pm

    • Sean Murphy batting eighth against Arizona
Sean Murphy has been dropped to eighth in the lineup for Monday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It seems like batting Murphy sixth and Adam Duvall eighth against a righty would make more sense, but Duvall is in the sixth spot today. Murphy started over Travis d’Arnaud about two-thirds of the time in June, but they’ve strictly alternated starts in the Braves’ last six games. He still has a nice ceiling, but these manueverings make Murphy a pretty weak option in one-catcher mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:17 pm
    • Could start batting practice soon
Trout (knee) jogged on the field and hit some soft toss Monday, and the 32-year-old outfielder said he should progress to batting practice in a few days, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Trout continues to work his way back from surgery on the torn meniscus in his left knee in early May. It took him until late June to return to baseball activities, but he has been ramping up his workouts and is close to taking the next step in his rehab program. Trout is aiming to return from the injured list by the end of July, but he'll likely need a rehab assignment before returning to major-league action. Prior to his injury, Trout was slashing .220/.325/.541 with 10 home runs and 14 RBI over 126 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:09 pm

    • Carlos Correa in lineup after finger injury
Carlos Correa is in Monday’s starting lineup after leaving Sunday’s game with a bruised finger.

Advice: Correa is starting at shortstop and batting second tonight against the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:33 pm
    • Activated from 60-day IL
The Angels activated Rendon (hamstring) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Rendon has been sidelined since late April with a torn left hamstring but convinced the Angels he was ready by facing some live pitching and working out. He skipped a rehab assignment, so rust is likely a given that he hasn't played a game in 11 weeks. Rendon could be eased into everyday playing time but eventually will be a regular between designated hitter and/or third base. He is leading off and playing third base Monday versus the Rangers in his return to action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:32 pm
    • Angels activate Anthony Rendon from 60-day IL
Angels activated 3B Anthony Rendon from the 60-day injured lust.

Advice: Rendon returns from a 2 1/2-month absence without a rehab assignment because it’s the Angels and no one really cares. He’ll alternate between third base and DH for now. He might offer some value in deeper mixed leagues while healthy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:31 pm
