      Advice: Stanek entered in the eighth with the game tied at three after the Mariners were able to knot things up in the bottom of the seventh. He picked up a quick first out but then allowed a base knock followed by a two-run homer to Trevor Larnach, which ultimately decided the game. Sunday ended an 8.2 innings scoreless streak for Stanek which spanned over 10 games. He compiled three saves, two holds and two wins while owning an 11:1 K:BB.       Duran picked up the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Mariners, pitching a perfect ninth while striking out a batter in the process.

    • Dominates Orioles on Sunday night
      Heaney (3-9) got the win Sunday against the Orioles, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 over seven innings.

      Advice: Heaney had his most dominant start of the season, compiling double-digit strikeouts for the first time since he had 11 back in August of 2023. Sunday was also just the second time since May 11 that he's managed to not give up a walk. The Orioles pushed runs across in both the second and fourth innings but otherwise did not threaten and Heaney finished strong by striking out the side in the seventh. He's now allowed three earned runs or less in each of his last 12 starts. His record is deceiving due to the fact that the Rangers had scored a total of 30 runs in his first 15 starts this season.       Irvin (6-5) took the loss against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings.

      Advice: Irvin served up a two-run blast to Derek Hill in the second and was chased out of the game in the fourth after surrendering a triple, three singles and a walk, leading to three more runs for the Rangers. He's now failed to cover at least five innings in three straight starts and has given up 14 runs over that span while compiling just a 5:4 K:BB in his last 12.1 innings pitched. Irvin now owns a 4.13 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 56:17 K:BB in 80.2 innings this season. He's lined up for a start against the Athletics this weekend, though it's worth monitoring what manager Brandon Hyde decides to do with his rotation spot after his recent struggles with Dean Kremer (triceps) on the cusp of returning from a rehab assignment.       Paddack (right forearm fatigue) threw a bullpen session Sunday, the Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

      Advice: Paddack said his arm grew fatigued in the past few weeks, which isn't uncommon for a pitcher in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery.       Bivens (2-1) allowed a run on four hits over five innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Bivens rolled through four shutout frames before coughing up a solo shot to Chris Taylor in the fifth inning. Bivens was originally slated to be the opener but ended up delivering the longest outing of his young MLB career by throwing 41 of 60 pitches for strikes. He's allowed one run over his last nine innings, lowering his season ERA to 2.57 alongside a 14:4 K:BB through 14 frames.       Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

      Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves.       Miller allowed five runs on three hits and a walk while retiring just two batters in relief during Sunday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

      Advice: Miller came on in the bottom of the ninth inning with the Tigers up 7-1 but he nearly blew the comfortable lead. The righty hit a batter and gave up a walk before allowing a three-run bomb to Zach Neto. A few batters later, Miller served up a two-run shot to Jo Adell before getting the hook with two outs. Over his last two outings, the veteran reliever has allowed eight earned runs in just 1.2 innings, which has pushed his ERA up to an unsightly 6.23.
