    • Hobbled Jurickson Profar pulled for pinch-runner
Jurickson Profar was lifted for a pinch-runner in the seventh inning Friday against the Brewers.

Advice: This probably wasn’t a move the Padres would have made unless Profar’s knee was acting up again. José Azocar ran for him in the game against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:36 pm
    • May have aggravated knee issue
Profar (knee) was removed for a pinch runner in the seventh inning of Friday's game against the Brewers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Profar dealt with a knee injury earlier in June, and he didn't appear to be running at full strength to begin Friday's game. He was pulled six frames later, though the Padres could have been giving some additional maintenance time as a precaution. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:19 pm
    • Tosses five frames
Singer yielded a run on three hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out four during the loss to Texas.

Advice: Singer turned in three scoreless frames before Wyatt Langford knocked an RBI double in the fourth inning. It was the only damage against Singer through five innings, but the Royals bullpen would go on to allow five runs in the sixth and cost him a win. It was his first start without allowing a homer since May 19; in his previous four outings, he was taken deep six times, resulting in a 5.31 ERA. Singer lowered his season ERA to 3.29 with an 80:25 K:BB through 82 frames. He's currently in line for a home start against the Marlins next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
    • Brady Singer pitches well in no-decision on Friday
Brady Singer pitched well in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday night, allowing just one run on three hits over his five frames.

Advice: Singer racked up four strikeouts on the evening while surrendering a pair of free passes. The lone run that scored against him came on an RBI double off the bat of Wyatt Langford in the fourth inning. Singer exited with a 2-1 lead and in line for a victory, but the Royals’ bullpen was unable to oblige. The 27-year-old hurler got nine whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll carry a 3.29 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and an 80/25 K/BB ratio (82 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:49 pm
    • Trea Turner hits first home run off IL
Trea Turner went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Turner has hit safely in all three games since returning from his hamstring injury yet this home run was his first extra-base hit. He smacked it 110.6 MPH off the bat, two MPH harder than he’s hit a ball all season. That’s a welcome sight because his power lagged before the injury with just three home runs in April before going down. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:19 pm

    • Homers, drives in three in loss
Turner went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Turner hit a two-run home run off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning then added an RBI single with the bases loaded in the seventh. Turner has gone 5-for-14 since returning from the injured list with a hamstring injury, and the homer was his first since April 17. He has been excellent when healthy this season, slashing .344/.389/.470 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 29 runs scored and 10 steals over 162 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:19 pm

    • Josh Lowe smacks two homers
Josh Lowe went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a 10-3 win for the Rays over the Pirates.

Advice: Lowe took righty Luis Ortiz deep twice and vaulted the Rays to a victory in Pittsburgh. Injuries have stalled what was hoped to be a big breakout season for the young left-hander as he only just reached 100 plate appearances after this game. There’s plenty of time for his ugly slash line to improve and his 16.4% Barrel Rate is by far the best mark he’s ever shown. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:32 pm
    • Justin Verlander (neck) has yet to resume throwing
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that right-hander Justin Verlander (neck) has yet to resume throwing.

Advice: There had been hope that he would resume throwing earlier in the week, but it’s taking much longer than expected for his neck discomfort to dissipate. At this point, there’s no clear timetable for when the 41-year-old hurler will be able to rejoin the Astros’ rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:18 pm

    • Another rehab start on tap
Cabrera (shoulder) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk with four strikeouts across three innings at Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday. He's scheduled to pitch again Tuesday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Advice: Although Cabrera was pegged for the loss Wednesday, he turned in a quality showing in his first minor-league rehab appearance. The 26-year-old is expected to throw four innings or roughly 60 pitches Tuesday as the Marlins work to get Cabrera stretched out and ready to rejoin the big-league rotation. It's unclear if he'll require another appearance at Jacksonville before being activated. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:41 pm
