      Crochet allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Thursday.

      Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant in the outing, inducing 24 swinging strikes and finishing with a career-high 13 punchouts. The only run against the southpaw came via Tyler Locklear's first career homer in the fifth inning, and Crochet was in line for the victory before Michael Kopech blew a save opportunity in the ninth. Despite a few rough starts in April, Crochet has been a revelation for the White Sox and for fantasy managers this season. Over his past nine starts, he's recorded a 1.36 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 76:11 K:BB over 53 innings. Crochet is tied with Tyler Glasnow for the major-league lead with 116 punchouts on the campaign.       Garrett Crochet struck out 13 batters over seven innings of one-run baseball but didn’t pick up a decision Thursday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant while taking advantage of a team that strikes out at an enormous rate, so the results are equally impressive and not surprising. He did allow a solo homer to Tyler Locklear, but outside of that and a Victor Robles double, it was smooth sailing for the 24-year-old. The 13 punchouts are a season-high, but this is a hurler who has already fanned 116 batters in just-under 83 innings with a 3.16 ERA.       O'Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 9-3 win over the Phillies on Thursday.

      Advice: O'Neill singled in the first inning then broke the game open in the fourth, crushing a three-run homer off Aaron Nola that traveled 430 feet over the Green Monster. After returning at DH from a knee injury Wednesday, O'Neill got the start in right field and hit his first home run since May 19. O'Neill endured a terrible May, hitting .151 with two home runs and five RBI over 73 at-bats but has opened June going 7-for-16 with a homer and five RBI in just five contests. Health has always been a concern for O'Neill, as he has eclipsed 100 games played in a season just once, but he is now slashing .256/.356/.512 with 12 home runs in 2024.       Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

      Advice: O’Neill’s home run was his 12th and his first since May 19th against St. Louis. He was back in right field after missing Tuesday’s game with knee discomfort and occupying the designated hitter spot on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with these developments.       Holmes (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss and a blown save in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.

      Advice: Holmes was one out away from his 20th save of the season before serving up a two-run double to Maikel Garcia. The 31-year-old closer had gone nine straight appearances without allowing a run and still carries an impressive 1.80 ERA for the season. As the ninth-inning man for the club with the most wins in MLB, he remains one of the safest options at the position with his 19 saves being tied for third most this season.       Nestor Cortes pitched seven innings of two-run ball in a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

      Advice: Cortes turned in his best start in weeks, but he was still in line for the loss when he left. The Yankees offense did let him off the hook, but the Bombers still lost the game to fall to 6-9 in Cortes’s starts.     • Clay Holmes takes blown save, loss in ninth
      Clay Holmes took a blown save and a loss after giving up two runs and three hits in the ninth Thursday against the Royals.

      Advice: Holmes made his own trouble by botching the play at first base on the soft infield single that started the ninth. Another single followed, and then Maikel Garcia ended the game with a double that stayed just fair down the right field line.       Cortes allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings during Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals. He didn't factor in the decision.

      Advice: Cortes ran into some trouble in the fourth inning with two runs allowed but otherwise kept Kansas City off the board, pitching deep into yet another start. This was his fifth outing this season of seven or more innings, which is tied for the second most in the American League. The two strikeouts tied for a season low, and the veteran lefty has now gone four straight starts without a win.       Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to Texas.

      Advice: Ohtani gave the Dodgers an early lead with a 424-foot solo shot in the first inning, but Los Angeles managed only one run the rest of the game. The homer was the second in as many days for the slugger, and he's up to 17 on the campaign, tied for sixth-most in the majors.
