    • Should avoid injured list
Manager Aaron Boone said Soto, who is out of the lineup Friday against the Dodgers, had imaging on his left elbow come back clean in addition to being diagnosed with forearm inflammation, and the outfielder could be available this weekend, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 25-year-old doesn't appear to be dealing with a severe injury and should be considered day-to-day. A quick return to the lineup this weekend is plausible, though Soto is certainly not guaranteed to see the field versus Los Angeles. Trent Grisham will enter the lineup in his place and man center field Friday, pushing Aaron Judge to right. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • Juan Soto day-to-day with forearm inflammation
Yankees manager Aaron Boone called Juan Soto day-to-day with forearm inflammation.

Advice: Tests didn’t reveal any ligament damage, so that’s good. Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time early tests failed to pick up on something, but optimism is warranted for now. Soto is not in the lineup for Friday’s game against the Dodgers, but he hasn’t been ruled out for the weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:07 pm

    • Juan Soto (forearm) will be OK, per Heyman
Initial doctor reports suggests Yankees OF Juan Soto will be OK, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Advice: The initial prognosis is inflammation for Soto. While his timetable to return to the field is still unclear, this is certainly a relief as it appears the Yankees have avoided the worst case scenario with their star outfielder. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:09 pm

    • Initial imaging shows inflammation
Soto received a preliminary diagnosis of left forearm inflammation after undergoing medical imaging Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. He's out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: The 25-year-old was removed from Thursday's contest with left forearm discomfort, which he apparently has dealt with throughout the past week. Soto will sit for at least one game, and his outlook for the immediate future remains a bit murky. The initial reports are an encouraging development and indicate he may have avoided a serious injury, however. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:09 pm

    • Struggles against Twins
Stroman allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday.

Advice: Stroman was handed a 7-2 lead through four innings but couldn't go deep enough to qualify for the victory. He allowed two doubles and a walk while also hitting a batter in the fifth frame, retiring only two batters before he was pulled. This was a big letdown for Stroman after he notched four consecutive quality starts while posting a 1.01 ERA over his previous 26.2 innings coming into Thursday. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, which tentatively lines up to take place in Kansas City next week. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:47 pm

    • Logs steal in three-hit game
Tatis went 3-for-5 with a double, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis has racked up nine hits over his last three games and is batting .449 (22-for-49) during his 12-game hitting streak. In addition to the hot bat, Tatis took advantage of getting on base Thursday by picking up his first steal since May 7. The outfielder is up to a .283/.356/.450 slash line with seven thefts, 10 home runs, 32 RBI and 41 runs scored through 66 contests this season, and he's been one of baseball's hottest hitters so far in June. • Set for imaging
Soto (forearm) will undergo imaging Friday after experiencing forearm soreness during Thursday's game against the Twins, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Soto didn't return to Thursday's game after a lengthy rain delay. The move was framed as a precautionary measure by manager Aaron Boone, though he also disclosed that Soto has been bothered by forearm discomfort for the past week. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Yankees be cautious with Soto in the short term, though the team has not announced any official plans. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:30 pm

    • Juan Soto (forearm) to undergo further testing
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters late Thursday that Juan Soto will undergo further imaging on his left forearm.

Advice: Boone added that Soto has been playing through a lingering forearm issue for roughly a week at this juncture, which he’s continued to receive treatment to address, but he didn’t want to risk sending him back out there following a lengthy 56-minute rain delay during Thursday’s contest against the Twins. The 25-year-old fantasy superstar will undergo some precautionary imaging to determine the severity of the issue. There should be an update on his status ahead of Friday’s highly-anticipated series opener against the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment. Boone also told reporters that top prospect Jasson Domínguez, who is in the final stages of his rehabilitation process from Tommy John surgery, is the only healthy outfielder on New York’s 40-man roster at the moment and could be brought back in an emergency situation, if needed. • Stroman allows five in no-decision Thursday
Marcus Stroman allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Yankees’ 8-5 victory over the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Stroman gave up six hits, walked two and struck out two. He didn’t qualify for the win because he was unable to complete five innings. Stroman’s ERA is 3.16 on the season, but his xFIP is significantly higher at 4.48. He’s never been a big strikeout pitcher and has benefitted from an 82 percent left on base percentage this year. Stroman is certainly due for regression in that area. The 33-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals at home next week. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:18 pm
