      Cubs transferred RHP Adbert Alzolay from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

      Advice: Alzolay is now off the 40-man roster, and the Cubs used that space to select the contract of David Bote. Alzolay has been on the injured list since May 13 with a forearm strain, and he’s now not eligible to return to the Chicago bullpen until July 13.       Cubs optioned INF Nick Madrigal to Triple-A Iowa.

      Advice: Madrigal, 27, will head back to Triple-A with David Bote taking his place on the roster. The former top prospect has once again not been effective at the plate with a .221/.280/.256 slash line in 94 plate appearances thus far.       Refsnyder is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

      Advice: Refsnyder will be on the bench for a second straight game following a stretch of five consecutive starts. Though he's maintaining an excellent .333/.414/.517 slash line over 99 plate appearances on the season, Refsnyder still isn't being treated as an everyday player, at least against right-handed pitching.       Graterol (shoulder) hasn't yet resumed playing catch and is likely at least two months away from being able to return to the Dodgers' bullpen, per MLB.com.

      Advice: Graterol landed on the IL with right shoulder inflammation prior to the Dodgers' season-opening series in South Korea. The righty reliever began a throwing progression in mid-April, but that was stopped after about a week due to continued soreness. Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Graterol hasn't yet resumed playing catch and added, "In the context of spring training, if you're not even playing catch, you're at least a couple months away."       Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports that Royce Lewis (quad) is likely to be activated off the injured list Tuesday.

      Advice: Lewis is going to play third base Sunday during his rehab assignment for Triple-A St. Paul. The 24-year-old will then have a chance to return to the Minnesota lineup as long as everything goes well in that outing. Lewis has significant fantasy upside, and if he’s still on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues, he’s well worth roster consideration.
