    Advice: Vaughn singled in his first trip to the plate before also stealing his first base of the season, but was left stranded. He added a double in his next at-bat, then came around to score on a Paul DeJong single to put Chicago up 2-0, marking the first baseman's only multi-hit performance since April 9 against the Guardians.     Advice: Hoskins singled home William Contreras in his second at-bat to tie the game at 3-3 and later added an RBI double in the fifth to give Milwaukee a one-run lead. The first baseman has now recorded at least one RBI in four of his last six games while Thursday marked his second three-hit effort of the season.     Advice: Contreras launched a solo homer off Mitch Keller in the top of the first to give Milwaukee an early lead and then came around to score the team's third run on a Rhys Hoskins single in the third, following a walk. He would add a single in the fifth before going on to steal his second base of the season. The catcher scored three runs in the contest, a mark he's hit three times now in the early season, while also recording multiple hits for the second consecutive game.     Advice: Trevino plated an early run for New York with his solo blast in the second inning, but the team's offense did not score again. Still, the homer continued a strong recent stretch of offense by the backstop, as he's built an eight-game hitting streak during which he's batting .423/.464/.654. The hot span hasn't moved Trevino out of a timeshare behind the plate, however -- both he and Austin Wells have played three games over New York's past six contests.     Advice: Nevin's two-run blast in the third inning proved to be the winning hit, as neither team crossed the plate after that point. The long ball was his first this season and just his sixth through 375 big-league plate appearances. Nevin hasn't flashed much power in the big leagues thus far and has never stolen a base as a major leaguer, so his upside is quite limited, though he's at least put together a decent .286/.355/.375 slash line this season.     Betts went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base against the Nationals in Thursday's 2-1 victory.

    Advice: Betts scored the decisive run in the contest by walking, swiping second base and crossing the plate on a Freddie Freeman double in the eighth inning. Betts seems to be running more frequently so far this season -- the stolen base was his sixth of the campaign through 27 contests, putting him well on pace to reach 20 steals for the first time since 2018. That has to be sweet music to his fantasy managers' ears, and Betts is paying huge dividends in other areas as well, slashing .374/.477/.636 with six homers, 21 RBI and 27 runs.
