    Advice: Boyle narrowly escaped the first frame after coughing up a three-run shot to Nick Gordon. It was the shortest start of the year for Boyle and he threw just 16 of 35 pitches for strikes. The command has been a constant problem for him this season; Boyle has registered a 29:23 K:BB with a 7.16 ERA through 27.2 innings. As of now, he's in line for a start in Seattle next weekend.   • Bryce Harper powers Phillies past Giants on Sunday
    Bryce Harper connected on a three-run homer in the third inning on Sunday night, powering the Phillies to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Giants.

    Advice: No Trea Turner, no problem for the National League’s hottest team as they won their fifth consecutive game and ninth of their last 10. The 31-year-old superstar tagged Giants’ starter Logan Webb for his 410-foot (107.0 mph EV) two-run blast, increasing the Phillies’ early advantage to 4-1. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the evening. For the season, he’s now hitting .234/.368/.468 with seven homers, 21 RBI and one stolen base through his first 31 ballgames.     J.T. Realmuto went 3-for-4 and scored a run as the Phillies triumphed over the Giants on Sunday evening in Philadelphia.

    Advice: Realmuto — hitting in the second slot of the lineup with Trea Turner (hamstring) shelved — singled in the third inning and rode home on Bryce Harper’s three-run blast. He added an infield single in the fourth inning and another in the sixth before all was said and done.     José Alvarado served up a solo homer in the ninth inning on Sunday night, but was still able to close out the Giants to protect a one-run lead and secure his seventh save of the season.

    Advice: The 28-year-old southpaw gave up a one-out solo blast to Jakson Reetz that pulled the Giants to within a run, but he battled back to strike out Nick Ahmed and got Jung Hoo Lee on a fly ball to right field to end it.     Taijuan Walker posted a quality start in Sunday night’s victory over the Giants, surrendering three runs on five hits across 6 1/3 strong innings of work.

    Advice: Walker racked up seven strikeouts on the evening while issuing just one free pass. The Giants scratched out a run in the opening inning on an RBI double by Michael Conforto, then Walker shut them down completely until Thairo Estrada connected on a two-run blast in the seventh. The 31-year-old hurler got just six swings and misses on 90 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 30 percent.     Logan Webb wasn’t at his best in Sunday night’s loss to the Phillies, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits in his four innings of work.

    Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander punched out six batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. The Phillies scratched out a run against him in the second inning, then tacked on three more in the third including a two-run blast off the bat of Bryce Harper. Webb needed 98 pitches (59 strikes) to labor through 12 outs in this one, getting 10 swings and misses and posting a CSW of 26 percent.   • Santander has three hits, five RBI vs CIN
    Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI in an 11-1 win over the Reds on Sunday.

    Advice: It was only a matter of time before Santander started to get hot. The 29-year-old took Emilio Pagan deep for a three-run shot in the eighth innings that went 402 feet and left the bat at 104 mph. He also had a 107.3 mph single and 98.3 mph single on the day. He’s slashing .218/.295/.427 on the season with five home runs and 23 RBI. If you can, now would still be the time to try and trade for Santander before he really gets hot.   • Nick Lodolo struggles in start vs Orioles
    Nick Lodolo allowed four runs on four hits in five innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

    Advice: It wasn’t all bad for Lodolo, who struck out six and walked two while posting a 30 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW. Lodolo struggled out of the gates, allowing three runs on three hits in the first inning before settling down.   • Dean Kremer dominates Reds on Sunday
    Dean Kremer threw six shutout innings against the Reds on Sunday, allowing one hit while striking out six.

    Advice: It was a masterful performance. Kremer posted a 33 percent CSW and 37 percent whiff rate, highlighted by seven whiffs on 13 swings on his four-seam fastball. Kremer leaned heavily on the cutter on Sunday and danced around the zone, throwing less than 50 percent of pitches in the strike zone, but he got the Reds to chase.
