    Advice: Gutierrez was designated for assignment on Wednesday, but he cleared waivers and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Worcester. He was acquired from the Brewers in April and made one appearance for the Marlins earlier in the season, allowing three runs on three hits in four innings.     The Cardinals placed Gallegos on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right shoulder impingement.

    Advice: Gallegos' move to the IL comes one day after he failed to record an out while surrendering three earned runs on three hits en route to taking his first loss of the season in the Cardinals' series finale with the White Sox. Considering Gallegos allowed four runs while recording zero outs in his appearance before that March 30 in Detroit, his injury might have been bothering him for a while.     Mets claimed RHP Yohan Ramirez off waivers from Orioles.

    Advice: Quite a 29th birthday present for Ramirez. The right-hander had an 11.81 ERA in three outings with the Mets earlier in the season and then got designated for assignment in early April. He was claimed by the Orioles three days later and had a 6.00 ERA in five appearances in Baltimore. He was designated for assignment on Friday and reclaimed by the Mets today.     The Mets claimed Ramirez off waivers from the Orioles on Monday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: The Mets booted Ramirez from their 40-man roster and then traded him to the Orioles last month, but he's now back in the organization to give them a fresh relief arm.     Reds optioned LHP Sam Moll to Triple-A Louisville.

    Advice: On the surface, the move may seem surprising because Moll has not allowed a run in five innings while striking out four and walking none. However, Moll was one of three Reds relievers with minor league options remaining. The other two are Alexis Diaz and Francisco Cruz, who are clearly not being demoted. Any other reliever sent to the minors would have had to be designated for assignment. Frankie Montas is expected to be activated off the IL later in the week in a corresponding move.     Guardians activated LHP Sam Hentges (finger) from the 15-day injured list.

    Advice: The left-hander was dealing with inflammation on the middle finger of his pitching hand as was placed on the 15-day IL at the end of March. He now figures to be back as a main contributor for the Guardians out of the bullpen. Hentges had a 3.61 ERA and 17 holds in 52 1/3 innings out of the bullpen last season.     The Reds optioned Moll to Triple-A Louisville on Monday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Moll had made five scoreless appearances after coming off the injured list April 23, but he nonetheless now finds himself without a spot on the 26-man active roster. The Reds will make a corresponding move prior to Tuesday's game, with Frankie Montas (forearm) presumably on track to be activated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start that day versus the Diamondbacks.
