• Ty France homers, knocks in three runs
Ty France had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Nationals in Sunday’s win.

Advice: France seemed to be in line to lose some playing time against righties, but it hasn’t materialized, mostly because sitting Mitch Garver or Mitch Haniger does more for the Mariners defensively. France has also hit a little better than those two anyway, coming in at .243/.301/.384 to date. He still needs to pick it up some from here, though, or acquiring a left-handed-hitting first baseman might be a priority for the Mariners prior to the deadline. Rotoworld Today, 4:59 pm

  • Johnathan Rodriguez has two hits in win
Johnathan Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: It was a slow start for Rodriguez, but the Guardians’ rookie has been solid his last two times out. Today, he had two of the four hardest-hit balls of the day with a 110.6 mph single and a 107 mph double. It is fair to point out that he also struck out twice and has made three of his four starts against left-handed pitching. That last part is important because it makes it a bit harder to trust that the Guardians will play him over Will Brennan or Kyle Manzaro when they face righties. Rotoworld Today, 4:55 pm
  • Falls triple short of cycle
Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Olson's eighth-inning blast off Aroldis Chapman was a no-doubter over the right field wall, clearing the stadium and splashing down in the Allegheny River. Olson had previously added a two-run double and finished the game just a triple short of the cycle. Over his last 13 games, Olson has six multi-hit efforts, batting .308 with four homers, two doubles, 11 RBI and six runs scored in that span. Rotowire.com Today, 4:53 pm

  • Luis GUillorme has two hits in loss
Luis Guillorme went 2-for-2 in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: While Guillorme is most talked about for being thrown under the bus by his manager a week ago, he’s also hitting .280/.333/.380 in a small sample size with the Angels this season. That’s notable because Kyren Paris is hitting just .139/.262/.278 and that’s who Guillorme started over today. The Angels could decide to move Luis Rengifo to second base more often and play Guillorme at third base over Paris. That makes him a player to keep an eye on in AL-only formats but not much more. • Kyle Tucker homers in win over A’s
Kyle Tucker went 1-for-4 with a walk and home run in a 5-2 win over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Another day, another Tucker home run. The 27-year-old hit a 403-foot shot off Aaron Brooks that left the bat at 105 mph. It was Tucker’s 18th of the season and he’s now up to 39 RBI to go along with a .280 average. He’s looking like one of the best first-round picks for this year’s fantasy baseball season. • Gavin Lux goes 0-for-3 in loss to Reds
Gavin Lux went 0-for-3 and grounded into a double play against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Miguel Vargas has experience at second, third and in left field, but he was on the bench while Lux, Kiké Hernández and Jason Heyward combined to go 0-for-9 today. All three of those players have sub-.600 OPSs for the season. We’re still optimistic that Lux will eventually turn into a solid second baseman for the Dodgers, but he’s been a big disappointment in the early going. Rotoworld Today, 4:28 pm

  • Could be activated Tuesday
Langford (hamstring) will bat leadoff and start in left field for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday in what could be his final rehab appearance before he returns from the 10-day injured list, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: The Rangers could use a spark in the lineup, and with Langford playing the field in back-to-back games, it would seem his hamstring is responding well. Texas is off Monday, so Langford's status may not be known until Tuesday's series opener versus the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Today, 4:20 pm

  • Ha-Seong Kim leads Padres past Yankees on Sunday
Ha-Seong Kim went 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored and an RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Padres to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Yankees.

Advice: Kim drove in the go-ahead run with a bunt single off of Victor Gonzalez in the seventh inning, then came around to score on an infield single off the bat of Fernando Tatis Jr. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 28-year-old infielder is now hitting .216/.333/.362 with six homers, 23 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season. • Alex Verdugo slugs solo homer in loss Sunday
Alex Verdugo slugged his seventh home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees to victory over the Padres.

Advice: Verdugo tagged Padres’ closer Robert Suarez for his 351-foot (99.3 mph EV) solo shot in the ninth inning that pulled the Yankees to within three runs at 5-2. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 plus a strikeout and is now hitting .261/.324/.431 with seven long balls and 28 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Today, 4:10 pm
