    • Strikes out 10 in win
Lugo (7-1) earned the win Saturday over the Athletics, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Lugo was able to limit the damage to a two-run home run by Seth Brown in the second inning. This was Lugo's second straight start with double-digit strikeouts, though he came up one out short of a fifth straight quality start. The right-hander is now at a 1.79 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 58:13 K:BB through 65.1 innings over 10 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road against the Rays. • Dazzles in return from injured list
Rodriguez didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Mariners, yielding just one hit and three walks over six shutout innings. He recorded seven strikeouts.

Advice: Rodriguez missed a little more than two weeks with right shoulder inflammation and made his return Saturday without going out on a rehab assignment first. He showed that he didn't need one, as he didn't give up his first and only hit on the night until there was one out in the sixth inning (and even that was just an infield single). Rodriguez was limited to just 82 pitches in his first start back, but he still managed to complete six frames because he was so efficient. The righty displayed his normal velocity and induced 13 swinging strikes on his 82 pitches. Rodriguez missed out on a win after the Orioles' bullpen struggled, but he looked as good as his fantasy managers could have hoped for. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:16 pm
    • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out seven in no-decision
Grayson Rodriguez was outstanding in his return from the injured list on Saturday, racking up seven strikeouts over six innings of shutout baseball in a tough-luck no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: The right-hander allowed just one hit and three walks on the night. That one hit didn’t come until Julio Rodriguez reached on a one-out infield single in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old hurler got 13 swings and misses on 82 pitches on the night — six of those on his slider — while registering a CSW of 28 percent. He exited the game with a 2-0 lead and in line for his fifth victory of the season, but the O’s bullpen would blow that lead the following inning. Rodriguez will carry an impressive 3.15 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 44/15 K/BB ratio (40 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:50 pm
    • Lugo strikes out 10, picks up seventh win Saturday
Seth Lugo allowed two earned runs and struck out 10 in 5 2/3 innings and picked up the win in the Royals’ 5-3 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: The win was Lugo’s seventh of the season and his ERA is 1.79. His 58 strikeouts are in the top 15 for qualified starters. The Royals can’t ask for more than what they’re getting from him right now and the same goes for fantasy managers. The 34-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rays on the road next weekend.

    • Escapes with no-decision Saturday
Eflin came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, giving up four runs on nine hits over six innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Advice: After keeping Toronto hitters in check the first time through the order, Eflin saw the wheels come off in the fourth and fifth innings, as he put the Rays in a 4-0 hole that they eventually climbed out of. The right-hander managed to keep the ball in the yard, snapping a streak of four straight starts in which he'd served up a homer. Eflin will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and stellar 44:4 K:BB through 59 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Royals. • San Diego-Atlanta postponed
Elder and Atlanta will not play Saturday after the game versus the Padres was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader Monday. Elder will now start Sunday instead, with Atlanta's scheduled starter for that day, Reynaldo Lopez, moving to Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:06 pm

    • San Diego-Atlanta game postponed
Darvish and the Padres will not play Saturday after their game in Atlanta was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Monday. Darvish will be pushed back a day to start Sunday, which would also mean delaying Joe Musgrove's (elbow) return from the injured list to Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:03 pm

    • Braves and Padres postponed due to rain Saturday
Saturday’s scheduled contest between the Braves and Padres in Atlanta was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Monday. Expect Saturday’s scheduled starters — Bryce Elder and Yu Darvish — to start on Sunday night. That would push Reynaldo Lopez and Randy Vasquez back until Monday’s twin bill. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:01 pm

    • Zach Eflin surrenders four runs against Blue Jays
Zach Eflin allowed four runs with three strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Eflin had worked through three scoreless innings before the Blue Jays brought a run across to score on three hits in the fourth. Four consecutive hits to start the fifth inning would bring three more runs in for Toronto. Eflin would return for one more inning, ending his day after six with three strikeouts. The 30-year-old right-hander will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 44/4 K/BB ratio across 59 innings into a start against the Royals in Tampa Bay on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:57 pm
