    Mahle (elbow) threw 30-to-40 pitches in a live batting practice session Thursday, Kenndi Landry of MLB.com reports.

    Robertson allowed one hit, hit a batter and struck out three over a scoreless eighth inning, earning a hold in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

    Advice: Robertson hit the first batter faced then allowed a single, setting up a rematch with the top of the Dodgers' lineup. He had struck out Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman on Wednesday to preserve a Texas lead and did the same exact thing Thursday. Robertson has 14 holds this season.     Canning (2-7) took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over six innings while striking out three.

    Advice: Canning got himself into trouble early after allowing two of the first three batters to reach base, which Christian Walker would capitalize on with a three-run shot to left field as Arizona took the lead over the Angels. The right-hander would allow only two hits from that point on, though one of those hits was a second long ball off the bat of Walker, putting Los Angeles in a 4-0 hole. Canning had not allowed more than three runs in either of his last seven outings coming in and it marked only the third time this season in which he's surrendered multiple home runs.     Pfaadt (3-5) earned the win over the Angels on Thursday, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over six innings while striking out eight.

    Advice: Pfaadt allowed the leadoff man to reach base in two of his first three innings of work, but lucked out with double play balls on each occasion and managed to escape each frame unscathed. He would then surrender an RBI single to Mickey Moniak in the fourth before going on to log his seventh quality start of the campaign. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in three of his last six outings, going 2-2 over that stretch. He's also recorded at least seven strikeouts in four of his last six starts.     Hancock allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one batter over seven innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Thursday.

    Advice: Hancock was called up from the minors Thursday morning so that he could make his first MLB start in over a month. The right-hander rose to the challenge well, tossing seven innings for the first time this season and limiting Chicago to a pair of third-inning runs. As usual, strikeouts weren't a big part of his outing -- he has just 24 punchouts across 41.1 big-league innings this season -- but he nonetheless picked up his fourth quality start. Hancock could remain in the rotation if Bryan Woo (forearm) is forced to miss additional time, but that may not happen given that Woo's MRI on Wednesday came back clean.   • Converts save chance Thursday
    Banks earned a save against Seattle on Thursday, striking out two batters in one perfect inning.

    Advice: Michael Kopech got the opportunity to notch a save in the ninth frame, but he blew the chance by serving up a game-tying solo shot to Julio Rodriguez. Chicago was able to push across a run in the top of the 10th, and Banks was handed the ball with a chance to earn a save in the bottom of that frame. The left-hander looked good doing so, fanning the first two batters he faced before ending the game by inducing a flyout. Banks is just 2-for-5 in save chances this season and has a 4.73 ERA though 32.1 innings, and he isn't likely to see consistent save chances despite Kopech's struggles in the closer role.     Kopech (2-6) blew a save but earned the win over the Mariners on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit while striking out two batters over one inning.

    Advice: Kopech was summoned in the ninth inning to try to protect a one-run Chicago lead but served up a one-out, game-tying solo shot to Julio Rodriguez. To his credit, Kopech bounced back to retire the next two batters and send the game to extra frames, and he was credited with a win as a result of the White Sox pushing past a run in the 10th. Kopech hasn't been very effective in a closing role for Chicago -- he hasn't notched a save since May 15 and is just 5-for-9 in save opportunities this season. He has a 4.91 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 29.1 innings, though his 13.2 K/9 is characteristic of what most teams look for from a closer. Rotowire.com Today, 1:08 am

    Crochet allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Thursday.

    Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant in the outing, inducing 24 swinging strikes and finishing with a career-high 13 punchouts. The only run against the southpaw came via Tyler Locklear's first career homer in the fifth inning, and Crochet was in line for the victory before Michael Kopech blew a save opportunity in the ninth. Despite a few rough starts in April, Crochet has been a revelation for the White Sox and for fantasy managers this season. Over his past nine starts, he's recorded a 1.36 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 76:11 K:BB over 53 innings. Crochet is tied with Tyler Glasnow for the major-league lead with 116 punchouts on the campaign.     Medina (0-2) took the loss against Minnesota on Thursday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three batters over five innings.

    Advice: Medina had much better control after issuing five walks across 4.2 frames in his previous start, but his overall stat line wasn't significantly improved. The right-hander took his second straight loss Thursday, giving up a season-high eight hits while striking out just three batters. Medina looked great in his first start of the campaign June 2 against Atlanta with no earned runs allowed over 5.2 innings, but he's yielded 10 earned runs across 9.2 frames since.
