      Advice: Swanson’s two-run home run in the eighth inning was the difference in the Cubs’ 7-5 victory over the Reds. It was his fifth home run of the season. Swanson is due to improve at the plate at some point as his .208 batting average is the worst of his career and his .131 ISO is his worst since his first full MLB campaign in 2017.       Advice: Stanton padded the Yankees' lead with an eighth-inning blast. Prior to Saturday, he was stuck in a 1-for-20 slump over the previous five games.       Seiya Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a triple and a grand slam against the Reds on Saturday.



      Advice: Suzuki’s home run was his sixth of the season and second in the last three games. He seems to be completely over the oblique injury he dealt with earlier this season. Suzuki is 12-for-37 (.324) with two home runs and seven RBI over his last nine games.

      Manaea (3-2) took the loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

      Advice: Manaea tossed two scoreless frames before Christian Walker hit a grand slam in the third inning and then surrendered two more runs and exited with two outs in the sixth . The 10 strikeouts were a season high for Manaea, and it was the first outing in which he has allowed more than three earned runs since April 13.       Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 10-5 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

      Advice: Alonso doubled in the first then hit a two-run home run in the ninth off Brandon Hughes. While the game was out of reach, the homer was Alonso's 13th of the year and resulted in his third multi-hit effort in his past nine games.       Advice: Gray reached double-digit strikeouts for the second time in 10 starts this year, but he received little run support after a shaky first inning. The right-hander has allowed at least four runs in three of his last five outings. For the season, he's at a 3.00 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 77:15 K:BB over 57 innings.       X-rays on the injured thumb of Phillies’ left-hander Ranger Suárez came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

      Advice: Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson told reporters that Suárez is still dealing with some swelling in his thumb but that the team feels fortunate to have dodged any serious injuries. He’s slated to take the mound against the Mets next weekend in London, but it’s still unclear whether or not he’ll be able to take the hill.       Suarez's (hand) X-rays came back negative Saturday but there's swelling in his left thumb and it's unclear if he'll be able to make his next scheduled start, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

      Advice: Fantasy managers can take a deep breath knowing that Suarez avoided significant injury after being hit by a comebacker during his start Saturday. While it's uncertain at this point if Suarez will recover in time for his next start -- which is scheduled for June 8 -- the 29-year-old is expected to avoid the injured list after Saturday's scare.
