    • Goes three innings in rehab start
Williams (elbow) struck out three and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over three-plus innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: The Guardians seem to be building Williams up slowly as he works his way back from right elbow discomfort, an injury that first cropped up late in spring training after the 24-year-old hurt himself in a weighted-ball workout. Though Sunday's outing marked his third rehab outing, Williams was lifted after 50 pitches. He'll presumably need at least two more rehab starts to get stretched out to around 75 pitches, at which point the Guardians might be comfortable bringing him back from the 60-day injured list and inserting him into their rotation. • Timely hitting in Sunday's win
Raleigh went 2-for-5 with a two-run single in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Raleigh followed Julio Rodriguez's tie-breaking single in the 10th inning with his own clutch knock, pushing Dylan Moore and Rodriguez across with two more runs that would prove to be critical in the one-run victory. The veteran backstop is hitting just .214 over his last nine games, but he has a trio of two-RBI tallies during that span while hitting a solid .267 with runners in scoring position. • Collects third win
Garcia (3-0) struck out one in a perfect inning Sunday to pick up the win over Oakland.

Advice: The Blue Jays won 6-3 in the 10th inning, handing Garcia the victory after he preserved the tie in the ninth. The right-hander has either a win or a save in four straight appearances, and he's been Toronto's next high-leverage option this season, posting a 2.08 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 34:7 K:BB through 26 innings with nine holds and four saves in addition to his three wins. • Swats home run Sunday
Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Cabrera opened up the scoring with a solo home run off the right field foul pole in the third inning. It was his first home run since May 1 and his first extra-base hit since May 5. He started off the year cooking at the plate but has cooled off considerably and now finds himself in a depth role with the return of DJ LeMahieu to the lineup. For the year, Cabrera is slashing .238/.278/.360 with five homers, 22 RBI, 20 runs and a 10:33 BB:K in 176 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 3:41 am

    • Not an option Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers that Soto (forearm) "probably" wasn't available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Soto went through his normal pregame routine in the hopes of entering Sunday's game as a pinch hitter. Though Boone said that Soto responded well to the pregame workout, the Yankees still opted to err on the side of caution and keep the star outfielder on the bench throughout the night. Soto's status for Monday's series opener versus the Royals thus remains murky after he missed the entirety of the three-game series with the Dodgers due to forearm soreness. • Could come off bench Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Soto (forearm) will go through his normal pregame routine and may be available off the bench Sunday against the Dodgers, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Boone also indicated that Soto should rejoin the lineup during the four-game series in Kansas City that begins Monday, as the outfielder appears to be progressing well in his recovery from forearm inflammation. It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will be back in action Monday against the Royals, but it appears his absence won't extend too much longer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • Remaining on bench Sunday
Soto (forearm) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone indicated Saturday that Soto likely wouldn't be back in the lineup for a few days, so it's hardly a surprise he's on the bench again Sunday. Boone also indicated the 25-year-old would "probably" take swings Sunday, which could put the outfielder on track to play sometime during the four-game set in Kansas City that begins Monday. • Juan Soto (forearm) not starting Sunday vs. LAD
Juan Soto (forearm) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Dodgers.

Advice: As expected, Soto is not in the lineup as he’s day-to-day with a forearm injury. A trip to the injured list hasn’t been ruled out for the outfielder, but for now the Yankees are hopeful he can return to the New York lineup in the coming days. Trent Grisham is starting in center field and hitting fifth in Soto’s absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:11 pm

    • Out of Sunday's lineup
Hayes is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Hayes had started nine of 10 games since he returned from his back injury in late May, with the lone absence coming in a doubleheader. The 27-year-old has a .745 OPS in 33 at-bats since coming back from the injury, and Sunday's rest day will give him two straight days to take it easy since the Pirates have a team day off Monday. Jared Triolo will man the hot corner in the series finale versus Minnesota. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:33 am
