    • Drives in three Monday
Winker went 3-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in Monday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: All three hits were singles, but it was still a productive night for Winker. His performance was marred by a caught stealing to end the second inning, however -- one of many mistakes by the Nats in what proved to be a one-run loss. The 30-year-old outfielder is batting .333 (11-for-33) over the last 10 games, but his only extra-base hit during that stretch is a double, and his homer drought currently stands at 13 games. • Jesse Winker drives in three runs in loss to Mets
Jesse Winker went 3-for-4 with three RBI on Monday in the Nationals’ loss to the Mets.

Advice: Winker reached base safely in four of his five plate appearances and wound up plating three runs courtesy of a pair of run-scoring singles and a bases-loaded free pass. The 30-year-old has really turned it on of late, batting .292/.386/.458 with two homers and five steals over his last 15 contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm

    • Getting sore elbow checked out
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Gasser is dealing with "some tightness, soreness" in his left elbow and is in the process of receiving a second opinion, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Gasser last pitched Saturday versus the White Sox, yielding three runs over five innings of work in a no-decision. He had been lined up to pitch in this week's series in Philadelphia, but clearly his status in the short and long term is now up in the air. Gasser dealt with an elbow problem earlier this season, as well, which delayed his season debut at Triple-A Nashville. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:42 pm

    • Robert Gasser dealing with elbow soreness
Robert Gasser is dealing with elbow tightness and soreness, according to manager Pat Murphy, and is getting a second opinion.

Advice: That suggests the first opinion wasn’t great. It’s possible this is related to the bone spur he dealt with in March. There were no problems reported for Gasser after his outing Saturday against the White Sox. He’s been looking like a keeper since getting the call last month, going 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA in five starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:26 pm

    • Rebounds against A's
Morton didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Oakland, allowing one hit and five walks with six strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

Advice: During his last start, Morton was hammered for 12 hits and eight runs by the Nationals. He did a complete 180 on Sunday, yielding one hit and delivering his first scoreless start since April 27. However, it wasn't a perfect outing, as Morton tied his season high in walks and hit the strike zone on just 58 of his 97 pitches. Over 62.2 innings, Morton owns a 3.88 ERA with a 65:28 K:BB, and he's scheduled for a rematch with the Nationals in Washington on Saturday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:35 pm

    • Perfect for save No. 15
Iglesias picked up the save Sunday against Oakland, tossing a perfect inning with no strikeouts.

Advice: Iglesias needed just nine pitches to retire Zack Gelof, Kyle McCann and Max Schuemann in order. The 34-year-old is 15-for-17 on save chances this season and has allowed one hit in his last five innings of work. Overall, Iglesias has the fourth-most saves in the NL and owns a 2.42 ERA through 22.1 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:14 pm

    • Crumbles against Yankees
Doval (2-1) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in a blown save chance Sunday. He recorded two outs while taking a loss against the Yankees.

Advice: Doval entered the game with a 5-3 lead in the ninth inning and was quickly jumped by the top of the Yankees' lineup. With one out in the inning, he yielded an RBI triple to Anthony Volpe, a go-ahead, two-run shot to Juan Soto and an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton. Doval had allowed four earned runs over his previous 15.2 innings before Sunday's ugly outing. His ERA shot up from 2.78 to 4.24 with a 30:17 K:BB through 23.1 frames. • Allows five runs in loss
Brown (1-2) allowed five runs on six hits across five innings to take the loss Sunday against the Reds. He walked one and struck out six.

Advice: Brown actually pitched decently, but he was done in by a three-run home run by TJ Friedl and a lack of run support in the 5-2 loss. The five runs allowed are the rookie's most since he gave up six in his MLB debut back on March 30. Outside of the few hiccups, Brown has been pretty solid, and he's still sitting with a strong 3.33 ERA across 51.1 innings to go along with 61 strikeouts. The righty is penciled in to start again on Saturday against this same Cincinnati squad, though the pending return of Jordan Wicks (forearm) could push Brown out of the rotation after that. • Camilo Doval suffers blown save against Yankees
Camilo Doval suffered a brutal blown save on Sunday afternoon against the Yankees, giving up four runs on four hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Advice: Oof. The right-hander came on with a 5-3 lead to protect, but things got away from him in a hurry. Gleyber Torres started the inning with a single, then Anthony Volpe smacked a one-out RBI triple that narrowed the gap. Juan Soto then clobbered a go-ahead two-run homer to give the Yankees the lead. Doval kept fighting though, issuing a walk to Aaron Judge, an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton and a walk to Alex Verdugo before uncorking a wild pitch that advanced both runners. He rallied to punch out DJ LeMahieu though before turning the ball over to Taylor Rogers to get the final out. He’s still locked in as the Giants’ closer, but his 4.24 ERA is no longer looking as spectacular and another blowup or two and Giants’ manager Bob Melvin may want to go another direction.
