    • Completes live bullpen session
Cabrera (shoulder) threw two innings and 35 pitches in a live bullpen session Friday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The bullpen session was Cabrera's second of the week; he previously threw a 30-pitch up-and-down session Tuesday. Cabrera could take the next step forward this week by facing hitters in live batting practice before he heads out on a minor-league rehab assignment that will likely consist of one or two starts. He's been on the injured list since May 8 with a right shoulder impingement and isn't expected to rejoin the Miami rotation until late June or early July. Rotowire.com Today, 12:05 pm

    • Hitting streak ends
Tovar went 0-for-4 Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Tovar went hitless for the first time in his last eight starts, and in that span, he hit .393 with three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored. That stretch helped him continue to build on an impressive breakout season, as he's hitting .290 with a .809 OPS to go along with 11 homers and four stolen bases across 70 contests. • Tagged with loss Sunday
Iglesias (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Rays, giving up two runs on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. He struck out three.

Advice: Atlanta rallied from a 6-2 deficit to tie the game in the eighth inning, but Iglesias served up a two-run homer to Jose Siri to squander the comeback. It's only the second long ball the veteran closer has allowed this season in 26.2 innings, and Iglesias sports a 2.70 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB while converting 18 of 20 save chances. • Strong in win
Ober (6-4) allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings to earn the win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Ober had his start pushed back a day after a rainout Saturday. This was his first quality start since May 12 and the first time he's completed six innings in that span. The right-hander has had a mediocre season so far with a 4.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 73:20 K:BB over 73 innings through 14 starts. Ober is projected to make his next start in a rematch versus the Athletics in Oakland. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 pm

    • Camilo Doval has ugly outing in rout
Brought in with a 13-2 lead in the ninth, Camilo Doval was charged with four runs in one-third of an inning Sunday against the Angels.

Advice: Ouch. The Giants just wanted to get Doval some work after three days off, and he wound up allowing four hits and two walks. It’s the second time this month that he’s allowed four runs, though it wasn’t nearly as costly last time. He’s been fine, if not quite as good as last year, aside from those two outings, so his gig is safe. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:17 pm

    • Ober allows one run in win over Athletics Sunday
Bailey Ober allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: Ober gave up six hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his sixth of the year. The lone run off of Ober came on a Daz Cameron home run in the seventh inning. Home runs have been a problem for him this season. Ober has allowed 1.48 HR/9, which has been a contributing factor as to why his ERA is 4.81 despite a 4.04 xFIP. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Athletics on the road next week.

    • On bench against righty
Joe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Joe is sitting against a right-handed starting pitcher (Dakota Hudson) for the second time in four games, perhaps indicating that his standing as an everyday player could be on shaky ground. After producing a .794 OPS through the first two months of the season, Joe is slashing .167/.271/.310 since the beginning of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:48 am

    • Avoids structural damage to knee
Winker, who is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, said an MRI on his right knee showed no structural damage, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker noted, however, that he's still dealing with some stiffness in his right knee, which he injured while running the bases in the first inning of Saturday's 4-0 win before he was pulled in the third inning. The 30-year-old said that he expects to be good to go after a couple of days of rest, and he'll benefit from the Nationals being off Monday before the team begins a three-game set with the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. • MRI reveals no structural damage in Winker’s knee
An MRI on Jesse Winker’s right knee revealed know structural damage.

Advice: The clean imaging is great news for Winker, and the expectation is that he’ll be able to return to the lineup after a couple of days of rest. He’s out of action for Sunday’s game against the Marlins, and isn’t likely to be available off the bench. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:41 am
