• Ready for live at-bats
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Sunday that Edman (wrist) is expected to report to the rookie-level Florida Complex League or Single-A Palm Beach this week to take some at-bats and get in some defensive reps, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Mamol didn't explicitly say that Edman will begin a formal rehab assignment, so the 29-year-old may just be participating in simulated games this week at the Cardinals' spring facility in Florida. In any case, the activity marks another important step in the recovery process for Edman, who has been out all season while he ramps back up from October wrist surgery. Edman won a Gold Glove at second base in 2021 and logged 46 starts at shortstop in 2023, but the outfield might represent his clearest path to consistent playing time once he returns from the 60-day injured list. • Plates three, swipes bag
McCarthy went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a stolen base during Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: McCarthy was productive despite only generating one hit. He stole second after walking in the first inning, scored Joc Pederson on a fielder's choice in the third frame and plated Pederson again in the fourth on a sacrifice fly before hitting an RBI triple in the sixth. McCarthy's pilfer was his 10th of the campaign, but his fifth of June. He's slashing .279/.365/.409 through 180 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:21 pm

  • Aaron Judge crushes homer as Yanks fall at Fenway
Aaron Judge clobbered his 26th home run of the season on Sunday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees to a victory over the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Advice: Judge opened the scoring in the contest with a titanic 380-foot (114.2 mph EV) solo shot over the Green Monster off of Kutter Crawford in the top half of the first inning. That lead would be short-lived though, and Judge would go down on strikes in each of his remaining three at-bats in the contest. With his 1-for-4 effort the 32-year-old slugger is now slashing .299/.425/.686 with 26 homers and 64 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:19 pm

  • Homers, steals base
Cowser went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Cowser recorded a homer and a steal in the same game for the first time in his career, while the two hits he recorded represent just his second multi-hit effort since May 19. In total, Cowser reached base all four times he came to the plate, including on a walk and a hit-by-pitch. For the season, Cowser is slashing .234/.326/.442 with nine homers, 31 RBI, 28 runs and five steals over 227 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:10 pm
  • Brings home three runs
Wisely went 2-for-6 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Wisely doubled in the third inning before knocking a two-run double during the Giants' nine-run fourth. He's produced three multi-hit performances over his last five games and four over his last nine appearances. During that nine-game stretch, he's gone 9-for-31 (.290) with five extra-base hits. Wisely is now slashing .313/.329/.478 through 70 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 pm

  • Corbin Carroll doesn’t think injury is serious
Corbin Carroll (ribs) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he doesn’t believe his rib injury is serious.

Advice: He’ll undergo a precautionary MRI exam in Arizona on Monday before traveling to join the team in Washington. Carroll said he felt much better after Sunday’s game though, and is optimistic that he won’t have to miss any time. We’ll have to wait and see what Monday’s imaging yields. Rotoworld Today, 6:24 pm

  • Drives in four runs
Soler went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Soler began the Giants' nine-run fourth inning with a walk and came around to score. Later that frame, he belted a three-run shot before capping off his day with an RBI double in the eighth. It was his eighth home run of the season and second over his last 18 games. While Soler is still sporting a lackluster .224/.309/.383 slash line this season, he's starting to heat up; he's gone 15-for-48 (.313) with five extra-base hits and 10 runs scored over his last 13 games. • Collects four more hits
Kwan went 4-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's loss to Toronto.

Advice: Kwan has been unstoppable since returning from a hamstring injury May 31, hitting safely in all 11 games while batting a torrid .535 with one home run, six RBI and 11 runs scored. The 26-year-old's hot streak has propelled his average to .398, which would lead the league if he had enough plate appearances to qualify. Rotowire.com Today, 5:42 pm

  • Jake McCarthy has three RBI, swipe in win on Sunday
Jake McCarthy had a nice day at the dish in Sunday’s lopsided victory over the White Sox, going 1-for-2 with a walk, three RBI and a stolen base.

Advice: McCarthy walked in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Diamondbacks couldn’t cash him in. He then plated a run in the third inning with a fielder’s choice that extended the Diamondbacks’ early lead to 4-1. He tacked on a sacrifice fly in the fourth that made it 8-1 and then smacked a run-scoring triple in the sixth inning that gave the Diamondbacks a 10-run lead. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .279/.365/.409 with three homers, 18 RBI and 10 stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm
