    • Fans seven in quality start
Houck allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk over 6.2 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out seven during the win against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Houck gave up just one run through six frames before the Blue Jays put two more runs on his final line during their five-run seventh inning. He's produced six quality starts in his last seven outings, giving him 13 through 16 total starts. Houck owns a terrific 2.18 ERA with a 101:18 K:BB through 103.1 frames. His next start is projected to be at home against the Padres. Rotowire.com Jun 24, 7:22 pm

    • Houck allows two earned runs in no-decision Monday
Tanner Houck allowed three runs (two earned) in 6 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Red Sox’ 7-6 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Houck gave up five hits, walked one and struck out seven. Boston only scored two runs while he was in the game before coming back to win late. Houck’s ERA is now 2.18 on the year and his 101 strikeouts on the season rank inside the top 15 in all of baseball. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres at home this weekend.

    • Notches 24th save
Clase pitched a scoreless inning, allowing a hit and walk while striking out a batter on his way to a save in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Clase was called upon to protect a 6-5 lead in the top of the ninth inning, and he worked around a pair of baserunners for his 24th save of the season. The right-hander is as elite as it gets at closer, going 24-for-27 on save opportunities in 2024, while he has now converted his last 11 chances. On the season, Clase owns a microscopic 0.72 ERA and 0.64 WHIP with 38 strikeouts over 37.1 innings in 38 appearances out of Cleveland's bullpen. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 8:01 pm
    • Emmanuel Clase grabs 24th save
Emmanuel Clase nailed down the save on Sunday against the Blue Jays after giving up a walk and a hit. He also struck out a batter.

Advice: Clase came in for his fourth outing in five days and earned yet another save. He’s allowed just three earned runs in 37 1/3 innings of work this season and his 24 saves trail only Ryan Helsley. Rotoworld Jun 23, 2:35 pm
    • Jack Flaherty to have next start pushed back
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters Sunday that Jack Flaherty will have his next start pushed back.

Advice: Flaherty was excellent on Friday in a win over the White Sox and the Tigers simply want to give him some extra rest before taking the ball again since he’s been pitching through a lingering back issue. The 28-year-old righty was slated to take the ball during Wednesday’s series finale against the Phillies, but is going to get at least one additional rest day instead. • Strikes out 10 in victory
Glasnow (8-5) picked up the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits over seven innings while striking out 10.

Advice: Glasnow got off to a great start, going 1-2-3 through each of the first three innings while striking out five of the first 11 batters he faced. He would allow just one unearned run over the first six frames before leaving a slider up in the zone in the seventh, which Logan O'Hoppe launched into the stands for a solo shot. Glasnow has been spectacular as of late, with the exception of his road outing against the Yankees three starts back, allowing no more than three hits in four of his last five outings. He's also posted double-digit strikeouts in two of his last three starts and now carries a 40:4 K:BB in June to go along with a 2.42 ERA. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 7:56 am
    • Pitches better Saturday
Neris worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets. He struck out two.

Advice: Neris was still a little shaky, but this was a step in the right direction after he allowed seven earned runs over 2.2 innings and blew two saves in his last three outings. The veteran worked the end of the game Saturday, though it wasn't a save opportunity, and Colten Brewer was the pitcher tapped for the team's last save chance in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants. Neris is likely still the closer in Chicago moving forward, but his margin for error has shrunk. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 7:10 am

    • Tyler Glasnow dominates Angels with 10 strikeouts
Tyler Glasnow recorded 10 strikeouts and was charged with two runs (one earned) over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Angels.

Advice: Glasnow took the ball for Saturday’s Freeway Series finale at Dodger Stadium and authored another dominant performance, notching his sixth double-digit strikeout effort in the process. He generated only nine swinging strikes, but threw an astounding 51 of 74 pitches for strikes to finish with a near-elite 36 percent CSW. He gave up only two hits as a fifth-inning solo shot by Logan O’Hoppe accounted for the lone earned run against him in this one. He’s bounced back following a rough outing against the Yankees back on June 9 by completing seven innings in each of his last two starts, while notching 19 strikeouts and allowing just one earned run during that span. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.88 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 135/25 K/BB ratio across 100 innings (16 starts) into a road matchup on Saturday against the Giants. Rotoworld Jun 23, 3:33 am
