      Advice: The homer was Doyle's first since May 15, and it was also his first extra-base hit since June 3. While he hasn't hit for much power, the outfielder has been sharp at the plate and adds speed on the bases.       Suarez (4-1) took a blown save and the loss in a 4-3 defeat to the Phillies, allowing two runs on four hits in one-third of an inning.

      Advice: Suarez coaxed a flyout from Trea Turner for the final out in the eighth inning before the right-hander surrendered four straight hits in the ninth, ultimately allowing two runs to take his first loss and blown save this season. Suarez had allowed just one run in his previous 27 innings coming into Tuesday. He still sports a stellar 1.21 ERA across 29.2 innings this year with a 0.81 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB while logging 17 saves.       Advice: Doyle probably still shouldn’t be batting second for a quality major league team, but he’s made big gains this season, particularly in cutting his K:BB ratio from nearly 7:1 last year to slightly less than 3:1 this season.       Robert Suárez blew a save on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits in 1/3 innings against the Phillies.

      Advice: Suárez was called on to protect a one-run lead, but he allowed three straight singles to Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, and Bryson Stott to tie the game. Nick Castellanos then hit a ground rule double to seal the win for the Phillies. It was just Suárez’s first blown save of the season, and he still carries a 1.21 ERA on the season.       Advice: Volpe got the scoring started for the Yankees in the second inning when he singled to drive in Austin Wells from third.       Nestor Cortes pitched six scoreless innings while striking out six to earn the win on Tuesday against the Orioles.

      Advice: Cortes needed 25 pitches to get through the first inning, thanks in part to back-to-back singles by Adley Rutschman and Ryan Mountcastle. He would eventually settle in to pitch six scoreless innings without walking a batter. The five hits Cortes allowed all came on singles as he did everything within reason to hold a powerful Orioles lineup in check.       Ketel Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Nationals.

      Advice: Marte hit a 434-foot shot off Jake Irvin in the top of the first to give the Diamondbacks an early 2-0 lead. It was Marte’s 15 homer of the season and marks his third-straight game with an RBI. He would later bring home Corbin Carroll on a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. The veteran second baseman has bounced back nicely from a down May in which he hit .216 and is now slashing .360/.468/.640 in the month of June with five home runs and 13 RBI.       The Yankees placed Rizzo on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right forearm fracture.

      Advice: Per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News, Rizzo will be shut down from all activities for up to five weeks, and it will be eight weeks until he's ready to play in games. Ben Rice is up to take his roster spot and is starting at first base Tuesday against the Orioles in his major-league debut.
