      Advice: It was a relatively easy save chance for Hader, as he entered with a three-run lead. The southpaw had worked in a non-save situation in each of his previous three appearances, though he's clearly still in control of Houston's closer role. Hader has had a few rough outings this season but is 8-for-9 in save chances and has allowed just three earned runs and struck out 33 batters over his past 19.1 innings.       Robert Gasser gave up three runs in five innings while not factoring into the decision Saturday against the White Sox.

      Advice: Gasser gave up seven hits — two of those homers — while striking out three and not issuing a walk. It’s a bit of a disappointing effort considering how bad Chicago’s lineup is, but credit to the 25-year-old for limiting the damage to just the roundtrippers.       Gasser didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out three in five innings.

      Advice: All three of the runs against Gasser came via the home-run ball Saturday -- an Andrew Benintendi solo shot in the third inning followed by a two-run blast off the bat of Gavin Sheets in the fourth. It's just the second time in five starts that Gasser's allowed more than one run. Overall, the left-hander is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 16 strikeouts while issuing just one walk through his first 28 innings.       Josh Hader worked a scoreless inning to get a save against the Twins on Saturday.

      Advice: Hader did allow a walk and didn’t strike anyone out, but he was able to escape without a run while picking up his eighth save of the season. The 30-year-old should continue to be one of the finest closing options for the remainder of 2024. Rotoworld Today, 5:01 pm

      Fernando Tatis Jr. homered and went 3-for-4 in a 7-3 win for the Padres over the Angels on Saturday.

      Advice: Tatis Jr. got the party started for the Padres with a solo homer in the first inning off Alec Marsh. The 25-year-old also singled twice and drew a walk for a four-reach day. Tatis hasn’t been spectacular in the first 60-plus games of the season, but he’s up to 10 homers, 30 RBi and six stolen bases with a .772 OPS.       Tatis went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 7-3 win over Kansas City.

      Advice: Tatis opened the scoring in the first inning with a 422-foot solo shot off Alec Marsh, his 10th homer of the season. The 25-year-old Tatis has at least one hit in his last seven games, going 11-for-29 (.379) in that span.       Taj Bradley allowed nine runs across 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

      Advice: Bradley had some trouble keeping the ball in the yard in Baltimore. Ryan Mountcastle got the scoring started with a two-run blast in the first inning. Anthony Santander followed with a solo homer. Jordan Westburg then led off the second with the third home run for the Orioles. Baltimore would bring six more runs in, including another two-run blast by Ryan Mountcastle in the fourth, before Bradley was relieved. The 23-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 5.81 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 32/9 K/BB ratio across 26 1/3 innings.       CJ Abrams has been scratched from the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Guardians due to shoulder soreness.

      Advice: It’s worth noting that Abrams remained in during Friday’s contest after jamming his shoulder attempting to make a play defensively. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but the Nationals clearly don’t want to take any chances here and are holding him out for precautionary reasons. The 23-year-old emerging star has been in a rut the last few days, going hitless (0-for-14) with eight strikeouts over his last three games.
