    • Slugs homer Thursday
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 11-7 win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: Freeman helped Los Angeles' offense get off to a fast start with his three-run blast in the first inning. The long ball extended his modest hitting streak to five games, during which he has slashed .389/.455/.889 with two homers, five RBI, five runs and two steals. Freeman has four home runs over his past 15 contests, matching the amount of homers he hit across his initial 49 games of the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 10:33 am

    • Records first steal Thursday
Raleigh went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: The slugging backstop played some small ball Thursday, recording his first steal since 2022. Raleigh is in a 13-game homer drought, and he has only one extra-base hit, a double, over his last 44 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:44 am

    • Goes yard in Thursday's win
Garver went 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and two runs scored in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Garver was a one-man wrecking crew for Seattle, delivering an RBI single in the fourth inning before putting an exclamation point on the M's shutout victory with a ninth-inning solo blast. While Thursday's performance marked the veteran catcher's second two-hit effort and second multi-RBI performance in the last four games, Garver's first two months-plus in Seattle have been highly disappointing -- he's sitting on a .175 batting average and .612 OPS through his first 200 plate appearances, and his 30.5 percent strikeout rate is his highest since he whiffed at a 45.7 percent clip during the COVID-shortened 2020 season. • Homers in loss
Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Abrams broke a scoreless tie in the sixth frame with his leadoff homer against Atlanta starter Reynaldo Lopez. The shortstop came into the contest having gone 1-for-21 over his previous seven games and recently missed time due to a shoulder issue, so the long ball was a much-needed positive development. Abrams reached 10 homers on the campaign with Thursday's blast, but he's slashing a meager .246/.293/.456 through 247 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:38 pm

    • Torres drives in two in win Thursday
Gleyber Torres went 1-for-4 with a two-run double against the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Torres gave the Yankees a 4-2 lead with a two-run double with the bases loaded in the third inning. He’s up to 21 RBI on the season now, but he has five RBI in his last three games. Maybe this is the start of Torres turning it around at the plate as he’s hitting .232 in his last season before heading to free agency. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:21 pm

    • Freddie Freeman swats three-run homer in win
Freddie Freeman walloped a three-run homer on Thursday in the Dodgers’ win over the Pirates.

Advice: Freeman followed singles by Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani in the opening frame with a no-doubter down the right-field line off Pirates starter Bailey Falter. The 34-year-old first baseman has gone deep twice in his last four contests and is up to eight big flies on the year to go along with a .294 batting average and 38 RBI through 64 games. • Abrams blasts 10th home run Thursday
CJ Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Braves on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Abrams’ 10th of the season. He had slumped and missed time with shoulder soreness last week, but seemed unbothered on Thursday. Abrams continues to show more power than he did last year as his .211 ISO is a lot better than the .167 ISO he had last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:13 pm

    • Mitch Garver socks solo homer in win over A’s
Mitch Garver drove in two runs and hit a solo homer in a victory over the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Garver also drew two walks. He blooped in a single to score Cal Raleigh in the fourth, and his homer was off a center-cut fastball from T.J. McFarland that extended Seattle’s lead to 3-0. Garver has six homers on the season and has been a significant disappointment with a slash of .175/.285/.327 over the first 60-plus games of 2024. • Swipes bag in loss
Freeman went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run against Pittsburgh in a loss Wednesday.

Advice: Freeman has been much less active on the basepaths this season -- he's attempted just four steals (with three successes) after going 23-for-24 last year. That 2023 performance was likely an aberration, as the 23 thefts were 10 more than his previous career-high mark. Freeman's other numbers are mostly down so far this season as well, but he's still been quite productive with a .294/.397/.476 slash line, seven homers, 17 doubles, 35 RBI and and 36 runs through 63 contests.
