    • Draws start at second base Tuesday
Caminero made his first start of the season at second base with Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Advice: It came on the same day Brandon Lowe visited a specialist due to continued concerns with his right oblique. Lowe ultimately received good news and the expectation is that he will be able to resume his rehab assignment soon. However, it's notable that the Rays seem to be prepping Caminero as a contingency plan at second base, a position he hadn't started a game at since 2022. Caminero went 3-for-6 with a home run in Tuesday's contest and is slashing a robust .316/.385/.582 with seven long balls on the season. Prior to Tuesday, he had been exclusively playing third base for Durham. The top prospect is certainly pushing for a promotion sooner rather than later. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Taking seat Wednesday
Arraez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Arraez will get his second day off since he was acquired from the Marlins earlier this month. The Padres will have Manny Machado fill the designated-hitter spot while Donovan Solano covers third base. Jurickson Profar will bat leadoff in Arraez's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 10:18 am

    • Justin Turner (illness) available off bench
Justin Turner remains out of the Blue Jays lineup Wednesday due to illness, though he is available off the bench.

Advice: Daniel Vogelbach is getting the start at DH. It’s a third straight missed start for Turner. Rotoworld Today, 8:32 am

    • Gunnar Henderson bats cleanup versus Blue Jays
Gunnar Henderson, who had led off for the Orioles every game this season, is in the cleanup spot for Wednesday’s game.

Advice: It seems like this is a consequence of the struggling Cedric Mullins being dropped to the ninth spot today, and manager Brandon Hyde not wanting to stack lefties. Still, Henderson hits more like a No. 3 or No. 4 hitter than a leadoff man anyway; he’s sitting at .264/.339/.553 this year and .257/.331/.495 for his career. Jordan Westburg is leading off today. It’d be great for his value if this becomes permanent, but it doesn’t sound like that’s what Hyde is planning at the moment. Rotoworld Today, 8:16 am

    • Batting cleanup Wednesday
Henderson will start at shortstop and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It's the first time this season that Henderson has batted anywhere other than leadoff. The 22-year-old's production has slowed in May (.649 OPS), so Orioles manager Brandon Hyde is electing to shake things up a bit. Toronto is starting left-hander Yusei Kikuchi on Wednesday and the left-handed-hitting Henderson has actually been much better versus southpaws (1.008 OPS) this season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:06 am

    • Remains out Wednesday
Turner (illness) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Baltimore.

Advice: Turner is one of a few Blue Jays players who have been under the weather of late, but he's the only one who will remain on the bench Wednesday. The Blue Jays are off Thursday, so Turner will aim to be back in the lineup Friday versus the Rays. Daniel Vogelbach will step in for Turner on Wednesday as Toronto's designated hitter. • Plates three runs in win
Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Hernandez got his night going with a run-scoring double in the fourth and then capped things off by driving in two more with a triple in the ninth. It was his first triple of the season and his third time with multiple extra-base hits. He's been providing some clutch hitting as of late with 10 RBI over his last six games and now sits at third in the majors with 36 RBI for the season. The 31-year-old is slashing .249/.310/.497 with 11 homers, 28 runs and a 14:56 BB:K in 184 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:18 am
    • On base four times in loss
Profar went 1-for-1 with three walks and a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Profar notched a base hit in the fourth and worked walks in his other three plate appearances. It's the first time since June 29, 2022 that he's walked three times in one game. Profar has been one of the biggest surprises in baseball thus far and is now 10th in the majors with a .324 batting average and fourth with a .416 OBP after Tuesday night. • Hammered by Atlanta
Taillon (3-1) took the loss Tuesday, surrendering seven runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks over four innings as the Cubs fell 7-0 to Atlanta. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander's own fielding error in the fourth inning softened the blow to his ERA, but Taillon's final line was by no means undeserved as he served up homers to Michael Harris and Matt Olson in his last frame. It's the first time in five starts Taillon has been taken deep multiple times, and he'll take a 1.61 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB through 28 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Pirates.
