• Swipes 13th bag
Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a run and a stolen base in a 2-1 victory versus the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Offense in the contest was scarce, so Rengifo's role in producing the Angels' first run was especially valuable. He singled with one out in the fourth inning and stole second base before eventually crossing the plate on a Willie Calhoun single. Rengifo missed some time in May due to an illness, but he hasn't slowed down since returning, slashing .313/.353/.484 with two homers, six RBI, 10 runs and four stolen bases in 16 contests. The infielder leads the team and is tied for 12th in the majors with 13 thefts on the campaign. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

  • Settling into groove at plate
Steer went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 13-3 win over Colorado.

Advice: After a rough May in which he posted a .176 average and .629 OPS, Steer has gotten off to a strong start to June. He's delivered multiple hits in all three games on the month, going 8-for-14. Steer's recent form is reminiscent of early in the season, when he hit .324/.435/.563 with 18 RBI over his first 20 games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:15 am

  • Goes deep, swipes bag
Machado went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Machado's solo shot in the first inning was the lone run for the Padres in Monday's loss. He was intentionally walked twice and also stole his fourth base of the year. The long ball snapped a brutal 26-game drought since his last homer May 3; during that cold streak, he posted a .591 OPS. Machado is now slashing .242/.307/.372 with 17 extra-base hits and 32 RBI through 244 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm

  • Homers twice in loss
Gorman went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in a 7-4 loss to the Astros on Monday.

Advice: Gorman hit solo home runs off Justin Verlander in the first and fifth innings and added a walk in the third. Gorman has been on an absolute binge in his past 10 games, tallying five multi-hit efforts, six home runs and 12 RBI since May 21. On the season, Gorman is now slashing .230/.318/.494 and leads all second basemen in home runs with 13. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm

  • Steer has three-hit game in win Monday
Spencer Steer went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Steer is up to 37 RBI in 58 games this season. He’s only hitting .243, but his .282 BABIP is a little lower than his career .302 BABIP. He should improve in that area and with 11 steals already he’s on pace to blow by his total of 15 steals from last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:57 pm

  • Gorman blasts two home runs Monday
Nolan Gorman went 2-for-3 with a walk and two solo home runs against the Astros on Monday.

Advice: The two home runs give Gorman 13 on the season. He’s now hit three home runs in his last two games. Gorman isn’t going to provide a good average. He’s hitting .230 and his career average is .230. Gorman can hit the stuffing out of the ball, though. He had 27 home runs in 119 games last year and is on pace to push for 30 home runs this year. • Bregman blasts ninth home run in win Monday
Alex Bergman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Bregman’s ninth of the season. With the Astros trailing by one in the eighth inning, he homered off JoJo Romero to tie the game. Bregman is still hitting just .229 on the season, but his .234 BABIP is significantly lower than his career .280 BABIP. He hit .262 with a .270 BABIP last year so his average should pick up and his .176 ISO is right in line with his .178 ISO last year when he hit 25 home runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:29 pm

  • Seven strong innings
King came away with a no-decision Sunday against the Royals, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings.

Advice: King was sharp, not allowing an extra-base hit and turning in another quality start, his fifth over his past six contests. The 29-year-old snapped a three-game streak allowing a home run, something he has struggled with all season -- his 1.8 HR/9 ranks in the ninth percentile. On the whole, King has been solid this season, recording a 3.82 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with a 78:31 K:BB across 73 innings. The right-hander will look to build off this success in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend against Arizona. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:00 pm

  • Delivers key hits Sunday
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Phillies.

Advice: Gorman opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning and also provided the Cardinals with their winning run by adding an RBI single in the 10th. This was his fourth multi-hit effort over the last nine games, a span in which he's gone 11-for-32 (.344) with four homers and 10 RBI. He's up to a .223/.310/.457 slash line, 11 long balls, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored and two stolen bases through 51 contests. Gorman has been a near-everyday player lately, though the Cardinals called up Jose Fermin on Friday for infield depth, which could lead to Gorman sitting out against some southpaws moving forward.
