    Gray allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over 7.2 innings in Monday's 7-6 win versus the Marlins. He struck out four and didn't factor in the decision.

    Advice: Gray pitched into the eighth inning for the first time this season and left the game up 4-1, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. The four strikeouts were a season low for Gray as he worked fast and efficiently, needing only 84 pitches to record 23 outs. The veteran's ERA now sits at 2.95 with a 1.02 WHIP through 13 starts.   • Neris blows save as Cubs lose 7-6 Monday
    Hector Neris allowed three runs, blew the save and took the loss against the Giants on Monday.

    Advice: The Cubs’ lead evaporated quickly in the ninth inning. With one out, Jorge Soler reached on a catcher interference. After Neris issued a walk to Mike Yastrzemski, Thairo Estrada hit a three-run home run to give the Giants a 7-6 lead. Neris now has four blown saves on the year including two blown saves in his last three opportunities. Neris’ ERA is now 4.73 on the year. His grip on the closer role loosens with every blown save.   • Sonny Gray goes 7 2/3 in no-decision vs. Marlins
    Sonny Gray allowed two runs over 7 2/3 innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

    Advice: Gray was long gone before this one was decided in a 12-inning marathon, but he managed to complete seven frames for the second consecutive start. He struck out four and only issued two walks. The 34-year-old righty has been excellent this season in his St. Louis debut, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 13 starts so far.     Iglesias (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Rays, giving up two runs on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. He struck out three.

    Advice: Atlanta rallied from a 6-2 deficit to tie the game in the eighth inning, but Iglesias served up a two-run homer to Jose Siri to squander the comeback. It's only the second long ball the veteran closer has allowed this season in 26.2 innings, and Iglesias sports a 2.70 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB while converting 18 of 20 save chances.   • Grabs save in Game 1
    Duran retired the only batter he faced to earn the save in a 6-2 win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

    Advice: Cole Sands left two runners on with two outs, but Duran was able to get Abraham Toro to ground out to end the contest. This was Duran's first save in five appearances, though he added a hold and two wins in that span.     Cano struck out the only batter he faced Sunday to earn the save against the Phillies.

    Advice: Cano was called upon to clean up a bases-loaded situation with the tying run on deck and two outs in the ninth, earning his third save in the process. Cano earned the opportunity with usual closer Craig Kimbrel being rested after having pitched in each of the first two games of the series.     Ronel Blanco delivered a dazzling performance in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Tigers, firing seven innings of no-hit baseball.

    Advice: The 30-year-old hurler racked up eight strikeouts in the contest while issuing three free passes. He carried a bid for a perfect game into the fifth inning where he issued a two-out walk to Gio Urshela. He then walked Akil Baddoo and Carson Kelly to load the bases before getting Zack McKinstry to fly out to end the threat. Those would be the Tigers’ only base runners against him. Blanco got 15 swings and misses on 94 pitches on the day — eight of those on his changeup — while registering an elite CSW of 41 percent.     Woo (forearm) will rejoin the Seattle rotation Wednesday on the road against the Guardians, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

    Advice: Woo was forced to miss his most recent scheduled start this past Tuesday versus the White Sox due to right forearm discomfort. After his MRI came back clean, Woo was cleared to resume throwing and is now set to reclaim his spot in the rotation after getting just under a two-week break from pitching. The 24-year-old opened the campaign on the shelf due to right elbow inflammation, but he's been highly effective when available, producing a sparkling 1.07 ERA and 0.53 WHIP while striking out 24 batters over 33.2 innings in six starts this season.
