• Notches win Friday
Duran (2-2) allowed a walk over two scoreless innings Friday. He struck out one and earned a win over Oakland.

Advice: Duran kept the Athletics off the board in the ninth and 10th frames as the Twins eventually delivered the walk-off win. He's 2-0 with a hold over his last three outings since coughing up three runs against the Pirates on June 8. The 26-year-old righty has not picked up a save since June 2. For the season, Duran's ERA is down to 3.66 with a 17:8 K:BB and 10 saves through 19.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:57 am

  • Strikes out seven in win
Castillo (6-7) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Castillo received an extra day of rest after Emerson Hancock got a spot start in Thursday's series finale versus the White Sox. It looks like that was a good move, as Castillo was able to bounce back from his worst start of the year to earn his third quality start in his last four outings. The right-hander limited the Rangers' offense to the first inning, when he gave up both runs and three of the four hits on his line. Castillo is now at a 3.32 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 92:24 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 15 starts. He's projected for a challenging road matchup versus the Guardians next week. • Johan Duran secures victory against Athletics
Jhoan Duran picked up his second victory of the season on Friday evening, working two scoreless innings against the Athletics.

He then returned for the 10th inning and retired the side in order, setting the stage for Max Kepler’s heroics. On the season, he now boasts a 3.66 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 17/8 K/BB ratio (19 2/3 innings) to go along with a pair of victories and 10 saves in 10 opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:44 pm

  • Raisel Iglesias grabs 18th save
Raisel Iglesias got one out on three pitches to earn the save on Friday night in the Braves’ win over the Rays.

Advice: Iglesias was called upon after Dylan Lee got into trouble in the ninth inning and earned the save after throwing just three pitches. It’s been a bizarre season for Iglesias with a 2.10 ERA and just a 16.9 K%. Beware of possible regression coming. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm
  • Blows fourth save Thursday
Holmes (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss and a blown save in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Holmes was one out away from his 20th save of the season before serving up a two-run double to Maikel Garcia. The 31-year-old closer had gone nine straight appearances without allowing a run and still carries an impressive 1.80 ERA for the season. As the ninth-inning man for the club with the most wins in MLB, he remains one of the safest options at the position, with his 19 saves being tied for third most this season. • Clay Holmes takes blown save, loss in ninth
Clay Holmes took a blown save and a loss after giving up two runs and three hits in the ninth Thursday against the Royals.

Advice: Holmes made his own trouble by botching the play at first base on the soft infield single that started the ninth. Another single followed, and then Maikel Garcia ended the game with a double that stayed just fair down the right field line. It went as Holmes’ fourth blown save, even though this was only the second time in 31 appearances this season that he’s allowed an earned run. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:26 pm

  • Raisel Iglesias gets 17th save against Orioles
Raisel Iglesias picked up his 17th save with a scoreless ninth against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Even though the Braves are struggling to score, Iglesias has had easier save chances than most closers; this was the ninth of his 19 save chances (17 successful) in which he’s come in with a three-run lead and the bases empty. He’s entered with a one-run lead just three times. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:01 pm
