    • Reaches 30-save milestone
Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves. He's converted those 30 saves consecutively after blowing his first opportunity of the year March 30. Helsley is sporting a 2.61 ERA with a 46:16 K:BB through 38 innings. • Helsley tosses scoreless ninth for 30th save
Ryan Helsley pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Hensley’s save was his 30th and he recorded two strikeouts in the process. His ERA is 2.61 on the season. Helsley’s well on his way to a 40-save season and anything beyond that would just be a monster year for fantasy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:57 pm
    • Stifles BoSox on Saturday
King (6-5) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 11-1 rout of the Red Sox. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander blanked Boston for five innings before serving up a solo shot to Jarren Duran, but San Diego had already compiled a 10-0 lead by that point. King produced his first quality start since June 2 and his seventh of the season on 89 pitches (63 strikes). He'll take a 3.61 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 115:39 K:BB through 99.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Diamondbacks. • Michael King bounces back with six strong in win
Michael King held the Red Sox to one run over six innings with six strikeouts while picking up a win Saturday.

Advice: King didn’t have to be at his best with Tanner Houck faltering, but he was pretty close to it, anyway. The right-hander gave up a solo homer to Jarren Duran, and that was it in terms of scoring blemishes. King has been fairly up-and-down in his first year with the Padres, but there have been enough quality starts like this one to keep the optimism going. He’s scheduled to face the Diamondbacks next weekend. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:50 pm

    • Blows save, grabs win Friday
Doval (3-1) allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over over inning, blowing a save but earning the win Friday over the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval allowed a triple to Andy Pages, who came home on a Jason Heyward sacrifice fly that tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning. The Giants then got a walk-off home run from Brett Wisely to make Doval the pitcher of record despite his poor outing. He's given up nine runs over nine innings in June, though a pair of four-run meltdowns account for much of that damage. He hasn't been dominant this season with a 4.55 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 39:21 K:BB while converting 14 of 17 save chances over 31.2 innings. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:24 pm
    • Camilo Doval blows save, still gets win vs. LAD
Camilo Doval gave up a run and blew a save Friday, but picked up the win against the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval gets the win because the stat is flawless and baseball is a fair and just sport. The right-hander gave up a triple to James Outman, and a sac fly from Jason Heyward tied the game at 3-3. That’s the third blown save of the year for Doval, who has provided more good than bad for fantasy managers in 2024 despite his 4.55 ERA. Rotoworld Friday, 10:11 pm
    • Helsley barely avoids game-tying homer in save
Ryan Helsley worked a flawless ninth for his 29th save Friday against the Reds.

Advice: Helsley very nearly surrendered a game-tying homer to Stuart Fairchild with two outs in the ninth, but Brendan Donovan made a jumping catch at the wall. Statcast said it would have been a homer in 14 of the 30 parks. This was a very quick outing for Helsley — he threw just six pitches — so even though he’s worked four out of six days, there’s a good chance he’ll be available Saturday. Rotoworld Friday, 8:55 pm
    • Extends saves lead
Helsley struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Reds on Friday.

Advice: Helsley had about as efficient of an outing as possible, needing only six pitches to close out the 1-0 game. It was his 29th save in 30 tries this season, and he lowered his June ERA to 3.00 through 12 appearances. Helsley leads all of baseball in saves and no one else has more than 25. He dropped his season ERA to 2.68 alongside a 44:16 K:BB. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:43 pm
    • Earns 13th save
Fairbanks earned a save against the Nationals on Friday, walking one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Fairbanks was asked to protect a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning and worked around a one-out walk to secure his 13th save of the season. The closer has rebounded from a blown save June 20 to nail down three consecutive scoreless saves. He is now 13-for-15 in save chances with a 3.14 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 30:13 K:BB over 28.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:39 pm
