    • Activated and in Tuesday's lineup
The Phillies activated Harper (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Harper required just a minimum 10-day stay on the IL with a strained left hamstring. He is back in his customary third spot in the Phillies' lineup and playing first base for Tuesday's series opener against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Today, 12:10 pm

    • Phillies activate Bryce Harper for Tuesday retirn
Phillies activated 1B Bryce Harper from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: In addition to the Phillies getting Harper back, they’re also activating Kyle Schwarber off the injured list. Harper ended up missing just a little under to weeks with his hamstring issue, and the 31-year-old superstar will return to a middle-of-the-order lineup spot for one of the best teams in baseball. Great news for everyone that doesn’t have to face the Phillies or Harper in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 11:59 am

    • Alec Burleson homers, plates three vs. Nationals
Alec Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and three RBI on Monday, powering the Cardinals to a 6-0 victory over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson’s breakthrough campaign continued on Monday afternoon as he did most of his damage in the late stages of this one, blasting a solo homer -- his career-high 14th round-tripper of the season -- off Nationals reliever Jacob Barnes in the eighth inning to give the Cardinals a commanding three-run advantage at the time. He also tacked on a two-run single in the ensuing frame, just for good measure. The 25-year-old figures to continue playing regularly at designated hitter against right-handed pitching as he’s off to a stellar start this year, batting .283 with 14 homers and seven steals through 83 contests. • Cracks homer, plates three in win
Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two additional RBI in Monday's 6-0 victory over Washington.

Advice: The St. Louis slugger smashed a 406-foot, solo shot off Jacob Barnes in the eighth inning to extend the lead to 3-0. Burleson has rounded into a formidable bat over his past 20 games, hitting .316 (24-for-76) with five homers, 21 RBI and 15 runs scored while batting second nearly every day. Overall, the 25-year-old is slashing .283/.319/.464 with 14 homers, 45 RBI and 36 runs scored in 316 total plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:45 pm

    • Bryce Harper “possibly” back on Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said “possibly” when asked if Bryce Harper (hamstring) will return on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Bryce Harper was able to run the bases at “close to 100 percent” on Saturday and that was “the final step in his recovery.” The Phillies now just need to determine if “close to 100 percent” is enough to activate their star. Obviously, the series against the Dodgers is a big one, but the Phillies have a commanding lead in the NL East and a series with Oakland following this one against Los Angeles. With the All-Star break looming, the team could just decide to ensure Harper is fully healthy for the second part of the season. We likely won’t know for sure until Tuesday, which makes it tough for some fantasy managers in weekly lineup lock leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:33 am

    • Picks up seventh steal
Burleson went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson has notched multiple hits in three of his last six games. He's also stolen two bases in his last three games and five over his last 15. The 25-year-old's impressive first half has been a key factor in the Cardinals' turnaround, as he's settled into the second spot in the lineup. Burleson is hitting .281/.318/.455 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 82 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:37 pm

    • Could be activated Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Sunday that Harper (hamstring) is "in play" to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: While Thomson confirmed that Kyle Schwarber (groin) will be back with the big club Tuesday, the skipper was less certain that Harper will be ready to go for the start of the three-game series with the NL West leaders. On a positive note, Harper ran on the field for a second straight day Sunday, with Zolecki relaying that the first baseman appeared to be moving at close to 100 percent intensity. Harper has been on the IL since June 28 with a left hamstring strain, with his absence opening up regular playing time at first base for Kody Clemens against right-handed pitching. • Red-hot Miranda out of lineup Sunday vs. Houston
Jose Miranda is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda’s reward for reaching in 12 straight at-bats is a rest Sunday for the series finale against the Astros. The 26-year-old will begin the game on the bench with Matt Wallner getting the start after being recalled from St. Paul. Rotoworld Sunday, 11:19 am

    • Resting after historic streak ends
Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda will get a breather for the series finale after he recorded a pair of base hits and was hit by a pitch before flying out in his final at-bat of Saturday's 9-3 win. The flyout ended a streak of 13 consecutive plate appearances in which he got on base and 12 consecutive at-bats with a hit, the latter of which tied an MLB record. Miranda still has a 10-game active hitting streak, which he'll presumably put on hold Sunday before he likely returns to the lineup for Monday's series opener against the White Sox.
