    Advice: McKinstry launched his first home run of the season in the second inning, then followed with his second triple of the year in the fourth. While Javier Baez is still the team's primary option at shortstop, McKinstry has managed to carve out a sizeable role amid Baez's struggles at the plate.     Riley Greene went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.

    Advice: Greene smacked his 11th homer of the season off of Dane Dunning in the fifth inning to push the Tigers’ lead to 3-0.     Advice: Miller was reinstated from the injured list before the game after being sidelined since May 13 due to right ulnar nerve inflammation, and the Tigers wasted no time getting him back into the thick of things. The righty didn't seem to skip a beat as he retired his four batters on just 17 pitches to secure his fourth hold of the season. Hinch said after the contest that the team still does not know the severity of the right-hander's injury, but the Tigers will presumably continue to run tests on his back and have an update on his status within the next couple of days.     Jack Flaherty was removed from Tuesday’s start against the Rangers due to back tightness.

    Advice: Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters afterwards that he didn’t know the severity of the issue, but back injuries can be extremely complicated matters. The 28-year-old righty has been outstanding this season in his Tigers debut and was lifted from Tuesday’s outing against the Rangers after striking out four over five scoreless frames.     The Brewers will recall Ashby from Triple-A Nashville to start Wednesday's game versus the Phillies, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

    Advice: With Robert Gasser (elbow) potentially facing a stint on the injured list, the Brewers will promote Ashby from Triple-A to fill the open slot in their rotation. Ashby was brought up for a spot start in early April, during which he allowed four earned runs in just 3.2 innings while striking out two batters and walking two. He hasn't been much better in the minors so far, posting a 6.80 ERA and 1.99 WHIP through 43.2 innings, though he threw seven shutout innings during his most recent outing with Nashville.
