    Advice: Alexander was in the starting lineup for a fourth consecutive game -- all against left-handers -- and has hit safely in all four, going 8-for-16 with a stolen base, three RBI, two doubles and four runs. He's hit southpaws well, posting a .362/.422/.552 line against them. However, his stay in the majors could be ending soon.     Advice: Pena entered Tuesday's game having failed to tally an extra-base hit in 10 straight starts.     Blaze Alexander went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored as the Diamondbacks bested the Giants 8-5 on Tuesday.

    Advice: Alexander was an afterthought in May, but he’s started four straight games to open June and gone 8-for-16 to push his average up to .296. The Diamondbacks clearly aren’t sold on him as an option at shortstop and they have Geraldo Perdomo coming back anyway, so Alexander has to hit to force Torey Lovullo to use him.     Advice: Winn was 2-for-13 over his previous four games before breaking out of that short slump with a big performance. The shortstop has arguably been the Cardinals' most consistent hitter with a .309/.359/.446 slash line over 197 plate appearances this year. He's added three homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight steals. The Cardinals' offense has been inconsistent at best, which has limited Winn's production of counting stats, but his ability to make quality contact has made him fantasy relevant in most formats, especially since he's seen a near-everyday role at shortstop.     Advice: De La Cruz snapped a 21-game homer drought with his third-inning blast, which was his 10th long ball of the year. During the power outage, he hit just .169 with four doubles, though he still managed to pick up seven stolen bases. The speedy infielder's slump has dropped his season slash line to .233/.329/.426 with 26 RBI and 39 runs scored over 61 contests, but he also leads the majors by a wide margin with 32 steals. He later hit a sacrifice fly to again drive in Bregman while pushing the Astros’ lead to 7-2. Peña is now hitting .302 on the season with five homers, 23 RBI, and nine stolen bases.     Masyn Winn went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

    Advice: Winn hit his third homer of the season on Tuesday against the Astros when he took reliever Parker Mushinski deep on a 381-foot shot to left-center field.   • Duran drives in lone run for Rangers in loss
    Ezequiel Duran went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Tigers.

    Advice: Duran’s RBI single in the ninth gave the Rangers their only run in the evening and was just one of the five hits they had in the night. Duran and the Rangers spent much of the night being stifled by Jack Flaherty and the Tigers’ bullpen, but did manage to break through with two hits in the final frame.
