• Bryce Elder starting Wednesday against Cardinals
Bryce Elder will start on Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Elder remains a non-factor for fantasy purposes, but the interesting wrinkle here with him coming up to take the ball for the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader at Busch Stadium is that it pushes Chris Sale back an extra day to take the ball against his former team in Chicago. • Recalled from Triple-A
The Twins recalled Henriquez from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Advice: Henriquez tossed two scoreless frames in his lone appearance with the Twins earlier this season and boasts a 3.52 ERA and 37:10 K:BB across 38.1 innings with St. Paul. He's likely to be deployed in the middle of games. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:45 am
  • Twins recall Ronny Henriquez from Triple-A
Twins recalled RHP Ronny Henriquez from Triple-A St. Paul.

Advice: Henriquez, 24, will take the roster spot of Chris Paddack with Paddack placed on the injured list with right arm fatigue. The right-hander will be a fresh bullpen arm, but Minnesota will need to make another transaction to replace Paddack when his turn in the rotation comes up. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:33 am
  • Yency Almonte to seek second opinion on shoulder
Yency Almonte is struggling to progress in his recovery from a shoulder strain and is going for another opinion on the injury.

Advice: Almonte started throwing bullpens a couple of weeks ago, but his arm wasn’t responding as hoped and he’s been shut down again now. The right-hander has been sidelined since May 8 because of the injury. Rotoworld Monday, 5:57 pm

  • Suffers setback
Almonte suffered a setback in his ramp-up from a strained right shoulder, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Almonte and the Cubs have been forced to "press pause" on his recovery, according to manager Craig Counsell. The team is expected to seek another opinion on the right-hander's shoulder and his status moving forward appears to be up in the air for the time being. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:48 pm

  • Yu Darvish has sore elbow, won’t return Tuesday
Yu Darvish is dealing with elbow inflammation will not return to the Padres rotation on Tuesday.

Advice: This is a new problem for Darvish, who has been out since June 1 with a strained groin, but the Padres are hopeful it’ll be only a minor setback. Adam Mazur will take his place Tuesday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Monday, 3:58 pm

  • Dealing with elbow inflammation
Padres manager Mike Shildt said Monday that Darvish (groin) won't be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday versus the Nationals due to "a little" right elbow inflammation, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Darvish had been slated to return from close to a month-long absence with a groin injury, but it's an elbow issue that will delay his activation even further. Shildt's wording would seem to suggest that Darvish is dealing with a minor setback, but a return to the rotation next week isn't guaranteed, especially after Darvish missed the final month of last season with a bone spur in the elbow. Adam Mazur was recalled from Triple-A El Paso and will start Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:55 pm

  • Red Sox promote Isaiah Campbell from Triple-A
Red Sox recalled RHP Isaiah Campbell from Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: The Red Sox used eight relievers in Sunday’s game, so they needed a shakeup before the start of the Blue Jays series. Campbell was an important addition for the Red Sox in the offseason, but he struggled to start the season before landing on the IL. Since coming back, he has been solid in Triple-A, posting a 2.19 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 18/3 K/BB ratio in 12 1/3 innings. There’s a chance he could pitch his way back into a key role in the Red Sox bullpen as the summer goes on. Rotoworld Monday, 12:33 pm
  • Recalled from Triple-A
The Red Sox recalled Campbell from Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Chris Henrique of Beyond the Monster reports.

Advice: Campbell held a 12.79 ERA in seven appearances earlier this season with the Red Sox before getting injured and then optioned. He righted the ship while at Worcester, posting a 2.19 ERA and 18:3 K:BB in 12.1 frames. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:18 pm
