    Advice: A right rotator cuff strain put Sborz on the injured list May 9, but he made it through live BP earlier this week and has since gained clearance to start up a rehab assignment. Sborz compiled a win and three holds in seven appearances before going down. He should slot back into a fairly prominent role in the Rangers' bullpen when ready, though not quite at the back end.     Tinoco was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

    Advice: Cole Winn was summoned to replace Tinoco, who will now be subjected to waivers. Tinoco did himself no favors with multiple walks in each of his final three appearances before this move. The left-hander hasn't been tasked with recording more than five outs in any of his previous turns as an opener, so he shouldn't be expected to handle more than two innings before he turns the game over to the bullpen.
