• Big day on offense
Mateo went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Tigers while also drawing two walks.

Advice: Mateo walked and stole second in his opening at-bat before coming around to score Baltimore's first run of the game on an Adley Rutschman single. The second baseman then broke open a 2-2 game with a three-run shot in the fourth and went on to reach base four times in the contest. The home run was Mateo's third of the season and he's now hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 7-for-22 (.318) over that stretch with four RBI, six runs scored and four stolen bases. • Starts rehab assignment
Saucedo (knee) struck out one over a scoreless inning Thursday in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Saucedo landed on the 15-day injured list a little over two weeks ago with a hyperextended right knee. Because he hasn't missed much time, the left-handed reliever shouldn't need more than a couple rehab appearances, setting himself up for a return within the next few days. • Grabs 10th save
Kimbrel picked up the save on Thursday, pitching a perfect two-thirds of an inning in an 8-6 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: It was actually Jonathan Heasley who came out to start the ninth inning after also appearing in the eighth, though he would quickly run into trouble after failing to retire the first four batters he faced in the frame. He would be relieved by Yennier Cano, but the latter would also struggle, allowing three runs to come across to make it an 8-6 ballgame. That's when Kimbrel came in to save the day, needing just two pitches to record the final two outs on a double play ball -- though Andrew Vaughn was technically called out on runner's interference for the last out. The veteran reliever has converted each of his three save attempts this month after blowing back-to-back saves to close out April. He also hasn't allowed any hits or walks in those save appearances while posting five strikeouts. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago
  • Could return in early June
Robert (hip) could rejoin the White Sox following a full week of rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Robert has played one rehab game with the Arizona Complex League White Sox, homering in that contest. He's slated to join Charlotte on Tuesday to continue ramping things up and it sounds like he could be activated by the White Sox as soon as June 4 against the Cubs if all goes well. Robert has been sidelined since early April with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

  • Coughs up season-high five runs
Clevinger (0-3) took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Clevinger went 1-2-3 through Baltimore's lineup over the first two innings before he began to unravel in the third, surrendering two hits and two walks in the frame, which would lead to one run coming across for the Orioles. Things only got worse in the fourth when the right-hander gave up a leadoff homer to Anthony Santander, followed by a three-run shot from Jorge Mateo five batters later. Clevinger has now gone just 4.2 innings in each of his last three starts, posting five strikeouts in each of those outings. He's also given up at least three runs in three of his four starts and is still looking for his first win on the campaign. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago
