    • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) not in Saturday’s lineup
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) remains absent from the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Orioles.

Advice: Polanco hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet, but he’s out of Seattle’s lineup for the fourth straight contest on Saturday afternoon with Josh Rojas filling in at the keystone. The 30-year-old infielder has been sidelined since exiting Monday’s game against the Royals with right hamstring tightness. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:16 am

    • Remains out Saturday
Polanco (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Polanco will remain on the bench for a fourth consecutive game as he continues to nurse right hamstring soreness. Josh Rojas will draw another start at second base and bat leadoff against Baltimore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 am

    • Alec Bohm drives in run as Phillies beat Nationals
Alec Bohm clubbed an RBI double on Friday as the Phillies defeated the Nationals in Philadelphia.

Advice: Bohm opened the scoring in the home half of the first inning, plating J.T. Realmuto with his run-scoring double off of Nationals’ right-hander Jake irvin. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night. For the season, the 27-year-old slugger is now hitting a robust .331/.397/.521 with four long balls, 37 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) could need IL stint
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) remains out of the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Orioles.

Advice: There had been an expectation that the 30-year-old second baseman would be ready to return on Friday night after three straight days off, but alas it was not to be. The Mariners are now saying that he may miss the entire series against the Orioles and could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list. Stay tuned. Josh Rojas will slide over and cover second base in his absence on Friday while Luis Urias starts at the hot corner. Rotoworld Friday, 2:51 pm

    • Gets break Friday
Caballero is not in the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Caballero has started in the majority of games for Tampa Bay at shortstop this season, but he will get a break as the Rays kick off their series with Toronto. It's the 27-year-old's sixth absences in 46 this season, and he's slashing .252/.309/.360 with 17 stolen bases and 13 RBI. Amed Rosario will get the start in place of Caballero at shortstop and against the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:17 pm

    • Misses lineup
Polanco (hamstring) isn't in the Mariners' lineup Friday at Baltimore.

Advice: Polanco will miss a third straight game with right hamstring soreness. Once again, Josh Rojas will slide to second base while Luis Urias starts at third. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:13 pm

    • Starting as designated hitter
Santander (knee) is in the starting lineup as the designated hitter for Friday's matchup against the Mariners.

Advice: Santander hurt his knee in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays after first colliding with the outfield wall and then hitting it again during a slide, which led to his exit from the game. The veteran outfielder will be eased back into the lineup at designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn mans right field. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:25 pm

    • Starting to find some power
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored Thursday against the Athletics.

Advice: Diaz has hit well for average this season, but he has struggled to find much power as he has just a .119 ISO. He's started to show more pop of late, tallying three of his eight doubles on the campaign in his last nine games. Despite the lack of extra-base knocks, Diaz has managed 16 runs scored and 21 RBI across 42 games and comfortably remains Houston's top option behind the dish. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:20 am

    • Diaz knocks in three Thursday
Yainer Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and a run scored against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with a bases-clearing double in the third inning off Joey Estes and the route was on from there. He hit 23 home runs in 104 games last year, but his power is noticeably down this year. His .119 ISO is well below his .256 ISO from last year. Diaz doesn’t walk often, but has cut his strikeout percentage to 13 percent so far this year. He’s not going to fall off a cliff if that keeps up, but he’s not exactly delivering on his lofty preseason draft price so far either. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:10 pm
