• Gray strikes out 10 in loss Saturday
Sonny Gray allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss in the Cardinals’ 6-1 loss against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Gray gave up five hits, walked three and struck out 10. The Phillies jumped on him early scoring three runs in the first inning. Gray was mostly in charge the rest of the way allowing only one more run and recording 10 punch outs. His 77 strikeouts this season put him inside the top 15 for starting pitchers in all off baseball. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rockies at home next week. • Two hits, two RBI in win
Langford went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-0 win against the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Langford singled and scored a run in the fourth inning then added a two-run base hit in the ninth. In four games since returning from the injured list with a hamstring strain, Langford has posted two multi-hit efforts and totaled four RBI. Langford's current slash line of .229/.292/.290 have obviously been disappointing, but he appears healthy and has started each game since his return from the injured list on May 28. • Willy Adames singles home game-winner in extras
Willy Adames drove in three runs including the game-winner in the 10th to give the Brewers a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Adames had three hits in the contest, and the biggest was a game-winning infield single off Michael Kopech in the bottom of the 10th. Adames has been an RBI machine throughout the year, and is already up to 42 on the season. He’s also added nine homers and eight steals, so it’s fair to say Adames has been more fantasy helper than hurter so far in 2024. Rotoworld Today, 5:18 pm

  • Wyatt Langford drives in pair against Marlins
Wyatt Langford drove in two runs in a victory over the Marlins for the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Langford’s RBI came in garbage time, as he drove in a pair of runs to make it 7-0 in the ninth inning. Still counts. He also struck out three times, but since returning from the injured list Tuesday, Langford has picked up a pair of multi-hit games while driving in three runs. Rotoworld Today, 5:09 pm
  • Rooker blasts 12 home run against Braves Saturday
Brent Rooker went 2-for-5 with a run scored, a double, a home run and four RBI against the Braves on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Rooker’s 12th of the season and he’s now up to 39 RBI. His 166 wRC+ is among the top 10 hitters in all of baseball this year. Rooker is one of the few Athletics that carries fantasy value and he’s showing that last year’s 30 home run season wasn’t a fluke. Rotoworld Today, 4:42 pm

  • Sitting Saturday
O'Hoppe is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe will get a breather after he went 2-for-15 with two solo home runs and three runs scored while starting the last four contests. Matt Thaiss will draw the start at catcher and bat sixth against Seattle. Rotowire.com Today, 12:08 pm

  • Back in lineup Saturday
Varsho (illness) will start in center field and bat second Saturday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Varsho will return to the lineup after missing Friday's 5-3 win due to food poisoning. The 27-year-old has struggled to a .157 average with seven extra-base hits, including four homers, over his last 18 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 10:55 am

  • Daulton Varsho back in lineup Saturday vs. Pirates
Daulton Varsho (illness) returned to the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Varsho is back in center field and batting second on Saturday after missing Friday’s 14-inning marathon due to food poisoning. Rotoworld Today, 10:36 am

  • ‘No timetable’ for Trea Turner (hamstring) yet
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Friday that Trea Turner (hamstring) remains without a definitive timetable to return.

Advice: Turner suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain earlier this week when he experienced leg soreness following a high-intensity workout. He managed to resume fielding grounders and also did some light jogging prior to Friday’s game against the Cardinals, but doesn’t appear close to running the bases again, which would be his final hurdle prior to a minor league rehab assignment. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but the Phillies can’t really afford to rush him back and risk another setback. At this point, a mid-June return seems like a best-case scenario.
