• Records 15th save
Bednar pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save against the Reds in Monday's 4-1 win.

Advice: After serving up homers in each of his last two appearances, Bednar got back on track with a clean frame Monday. Bednar had a disastrous start to the season with 14 earned runs allowed in his first 13 outings, but he's turned it around with a 1.88 ERA over his last 19.1 innings. Despite the 5.34 ERA for the season, Bednar remains one of the better late-inning options, as his 15 saves are tied for eighth most in the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 7:55 pm

  • Drives in two runs in win
Cruz went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 4-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: With Paul Skenes dealing on the mound, Cruz's two-run single in the first inning ended up being the deciding runs. The 25-year-old now has 10 of his 30 RBI for the season over his past nine games. He's been swinging a hot bat since the calendar turned to June, slashing .295/.325/.525 over his last 11 games. • Oneil Cruz hits two-run single, Pirates edge Reds
Oneil Cruz delivered a two-run single on Monday, lifting the Pirates to a 4-1 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Cruz put the Pirates ahead for good with a two-run single off Reds starter Carson Spiers in the opening frame, which wound up being more than enough run support for young ace Paul Skenes and Pittsburgh’s bullpen in a low-scoring affair at PNC Park. It was somehow the first meeting this season between the longtime division rivals. Cruz hasn’t exactly torn the cover off the ball this season, but he’s shown flashes of the big-time upside that makes him one of the most exciting young players in the game. Rotoworld Today, 7:01 pm

  • David Bednar silences Reds to notch 15th save
David Bednar tossed a perfect frame on Monday against the Reds to record his 15th save of the season.

Advice: Bednar was summoned to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 11 pitches (eight strikes) to spin a flawless frame. It was a nice rebound effort for the 29-year-old stopper after giving up solo homers in each of his previous two appearances. He’s converted 15 of his 18 save opportunities on the year. • Slugs three-run homer in win
Bohm went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Bohm has been on a tear as of late, picking up his fourth consecutive game with multiple hits. He also has an RBI in five straight contests, which is the longest such streak of his career. The 27-year-old is up to 60 RBI this season, good for fourth in the majors. Bohm is in the midst of a breakout campaign with a .307/.359/.489 slash line and seven home runs through 70 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:55 pm

  • Alec Bohm posts three hits, homers in victory
Alec Bohm went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer on Monday in the Phillies’ lopsided win over the Padres.

Advice: Bohm gave Philadelphia a commanding six-run advantage with a fifth-inning blast off Padres starter Randy Vásquez. It was his seventh long ball of the year and just the second time he’s gone deep since the start of the month. The 27-year-old corner infielder is in the midst of the best season of his career so far with an .848 OPS through 70 games. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 pm

  • Moves into leadoff spot sans Betts
Ohtani will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Monday's game in Colorado.

Advice: In the Dodgers' first game without Mookie Betts (hand), Ohtani slides up one spot in the order and will be followed by Will Smith, who moves from cleanup to the two hole. Ohtani also hit leadoff once back on May 18 when Betts had a day off. It's the only two times this season that he hasn't hit second. Rotowire.com Today, 2:15 pm

  • Making rehab start Wednesday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said that Darvish (groin) will make a rehab start Wednesday with High-A Fort Wayne, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The upcoming rehab start will take a potential return from the 15-day injured list off the table this week, but Darvish shouldn't need more than one tune-up outing in the minors before slotting back into the San Diego rotation. Darvish previously bypassed a rehab assignment when he was on the IL earlier this season due to neck tightness, but the Padres will act more cautiously with the right-hander this time around while he works his way back from a left groin strain that has thus far kept him out for three weeks. • Yu Darvish (groin) set for rehab start Wednesday
The Padres will have Yu Darvish make a rehab start with high-A Fort Wayne on Wednesday.

Advice: If that goes well, he’ll probably jump right back into the major league rotation at the beginning of next week. Darvish has been out since May 29 with a groin strain. Adam Mazur presumably will make one more start for the Padres this week. Rotoworld Today, 2:14 pm
