• Hit hard again Sunday
Lopez (4-5) allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.2 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Corey Seager led the charge against Lopez with two home runs and three RBI. Lopez has now allowed 16 runs and 25 hits over his last 16 innings, with five of those knocks being homers. He had a 3.89 ERA after his May 9 start versus the Mariners, but it's now at 5.25 with a 1.17 WHIP and 69:10 K:BB through 60 innings across 11 outings this season. Lopez is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Astros. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

  • Pablo López struggles again, allows six runs
Pablo López allowed six earned runs in 4 ⅔ innings against the Rangers on Sunday. He struck out six and walked one.

Advice: López continued what’s been a poor season thus far. The six strikeouts were nice, but came with only seven swings and misses. He’s at his best when he’s missing bats with all four of his pitches, but neither his changeup nor curveball induced a whiff in this one. His strong peripherals suggest a bounce back is coming, but a 5.25 ERA on Memorial Day is quite ugly. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

  • Takes loss versus Rays
Wacha (4-5) allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven over six-plus innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Rays.

Advice: Wacha was perfect through five innings and pitched around two baserunners in the sixth. He then gave up two hits to start the seventh, and John Schreiber allowed both runners plus two more to come around to score. Despite the loss, this was Wacha's fourth straight quality start and his sixth such outing of the season. He's pitched to a 4.31 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 54:19 K:BB through 62.2 innings over 11 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus his most recent former team, the Padres. • Walks three in no-decision
Bradley allowed a hit and three walks while striking out six over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Bradley was able to quiet a Royals offense that had scored at least five runs in each of the previous eight games. This was a good bounce-back effort for Bradley after he gave up five runs over seven innings to the Red Sox on Monday. The 23-year-old is now at a 3.13 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB over 23 innings across four starts this season. His next start is projected to be a tough road matchup in Baltimore. • Mediocre in no-decision
Mize did not factor into the decision Sunday against Toronto, allowing three earned runs on eight hits and two walks in 4.1 innings. He did not strike out a batter.

Advice: The right-hander started the game with three scoreless innings before allowing a two-run home run to Cavan Biggio in the fourth, marking the fifth consecutive game Mize has surrendered a home run. Over that span, the 27-year-old is 0-3 with a 6.56 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over 23.1 innings. Mize failed to record a strikeout Sunday and has struggled to miss bats all season, registering a paltry 6.16 K/9. Mize will look to bounce back in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next weekend in Boston. Rotowire.com Today, 2:11 pm

  • Michael Wacha strikes out seven in loss
Michael Wacha pitched six-plus innings on Sunday against the Rays. He struck out seven, walked one, and allowed two earned runs.

Advice: Wacha took a perfect game into the sixth inning in this one and seemed completely in control until a Rays’ rally in the seventh chased him and John Schreiber allowed both of Wacha’s inherited runners to come home. His slider and changeup were both strong here in what’s been four straight solid starts for Wacha. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm
  • Taj Bradley excellent in no-decision
Taj Bradley pitched five scoreless innings on Sunday against the Royals. He struck out six, walked three, and allowed just one hit.

Advice: Bradley has been quite good since returning from the injured list with a 3.13 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 23 innings. He’s shown increased comfortability with his splitter and threw it more often on Sunday, 32% of his total pitches, than he has in any career start. It’s added a nice element to his repertoire with a movement profile between his blazing fastball and curveball. He looks to be on the way towards a breakout season. Rotoworld Today, 1:57 pm

  • Dealing with lat issue
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Sunday that Springs (elbow) will be shut down "for a couple of days" after the left-hander exited Saturday's rehab start with the Florida Complex League Rays, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Cash noted that the move to take Springs out of Saturday's rehab start was due to a lat issue and "very precautionary," as the southpaw continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery from April of 2023. Springs will be shut down from his throwing program and receive treatment for his lat and elbow. If Springs can get right and resume his rehab, he could rejoin the Rays' rotation in June or July. • Chris Sale wins again after seven strong innings
Chris Sale allowed just one earned run across seven innings in a 8-1 win for the Braves over the Pirates on Sunday. He struck out eight and walked none.

Advice: The win was Sale’s eighth of the season. He’s pitching the best he has in at least five seasons and by some measures, as well as he has in his entire career. He’s striking out his highest percentage of batters since 2019 and walking the least he ever has! The Pirates got on him in the second inning for a run and then Sale proceeded to retire the next 12 batters he faced. He is once again an ace that can be relied on as such. Rotoworld Today, 1:32 pm
